Mmm, that doesn't quite jibe with me. You clearly were making a joke and expected for it to be taken as a joke. Osuka's reaction of not believing you (prudent) while not acting like it was a blatant joke (not prudent at all) would be the last reaction I would expect. In post 180, Andresvmb wrote:
He called me out for lying, which I obviously was since I was simply entering the game and throwing out nonsense. My perception is that osuka would have tried to buddy me if they were not being genuine. Like agreed with my post and voted the same player, or immediately placed me as Town (since I was quite obviously extending an olive branch). Instead, osuka gives me crap about putting misinformation out there. And then later, they question me for “defending them”. That seems like a Town player actually concerned about getting pocketed. So it earns a pass from me.In post 108, Haschel Cedricson wrote:Andres, you said that osuka's reaction seemed genuine. Can you elaborate? What would an ungenuine reaction from osuka look like?
Let's talk about this. Can you explain what you mean by "letting them stay in the game"?In post 168, Andresvmb wrote:I can explain what I was trying to do and you guys can tell me what you think.
I didn’t have a strong read of osuka when I first approached the game. But, last time we played, I failed to listen to them (in a way that clearly hurt the Town, since they were correct and I wasn’t), and so I wanted to let them stay in the game, provide input, and see where it lead. Yeah, they’re pretty tricky to read. But I thought I would give it a chance.
As an aside, the game has been open for less than 24 hours; nobody is a lurker yet. Osuka, you have more posts than the second and third most prolific posters combined. Dial it down.- Haschel Cedricson

That is a bizarre way to view the effect of a single vote. But putting that aside, can you show me where you actually ask for their thoughts? In post 224, Andresvmb wrote:

Yes, I do expect that.In post 231, Andresvmb wrote:
Did you expect to directly ask: can you give me your thoughts on x?In post 228, Haschel Cedricson wrote:That is a bizarre way to view the effect of a single vote. But putting that aside, can you show me where you actually ask for their thoughts?
Ah.Because I haven’t done that.I did however suggest that we vote the player asking for more votes on them. That’s me directly wanting to interact with someone.
That's not you trying to learn Osuka's thoughts; that you trying to get Osuka to go along with your thoughts.
I did, which is why I asked the question. You could just read my posts also.- Haschel Cedricson

"Going to try" is doing a fair bit of heavy lifting there. In post 298, Andante wrote:what exactly is it about me that gives you bad vibes? the fact I'm actually going to try and find scum?- Haschel Cedricson

This is #GoodPosting. In post 352, InsidiousLemons wrote:277-280 from andante gave me scum vibes at first bc overreaction, but now i feel like it just reads more noob/NAI. hard to tell because no completed games so this is mostly gut. regardless i don't think my vote is best placed on her atm
weird filler vote that went completely unchallenged by osuka, followed by whatever the hell that chess/minesweeper nothingness wasIn post 82, Anya wrote:VOTE: osuka
kinda weird you'd talk about things going over your head? are those missile cruisers that you're playing to bomb us with?
this is an odd thing to say when he had already posted twice, one of which was a genuinely useful question. if you're going to attack someone for not engaging with the game, why not me? why notIn post 123, Anya wrote:VOTE: Haschel Cedricson
he's still on the plane while all the others have already jumped and started skydiving
lolIn post 141, Anya wrote:you won't be saying that once i catch us 4 or 5 wolves
no one seems to be pushing anya for posting almost exclusively filler even when there were better things to discuss. weird metaphors and non-pushes and... that seems to be it

Prod acknowledged. I am at work and about to head on the road so deep dive will come later. Quick note before I go, though:
"Scum being upset that they are caught for the wrong reasons" is one of my favorite recurring tropes in these games. In post 520, Andresvmb wrote:Like in all honesty I would rather get executed quickly than spend a whole lot of time re-reading this game when I’m getting pushed for entirely bullshit reasons.
