It TMIs that she knows he's town. The logical conclusion of "SS is the same as he was last time we played together and he was scum." isn't "therefore he is the same every alignment." It is "therefore he is more likely to be scum here." Unless you have a reason to believe that he's town.

Lol, that’s fair. I designed this to hopefully mitigate the issues of the genre (no stump masons, the players get to choose their stumps, stumps have a way to leave if they’re overwhelmed) but they do tend to be high burnout.

Generally speaking in multi ball you want to kill scum until your faction is the strongest scum faction. It usually more important to kill people who are specifically threatening to your team though.

Saying someone is obvious as town is inherently saying they have a shitty scum game.

It does not, but tanking a town game you are currently playing so that you can win a scumgame in the future breaks mafia rule 9, the way I've always interpreted it.

I agree. You should argue that you're completely readable and obvious town as both alignments. The trick is to get people to think there's a stark difference between your games when there really isn't. I have not yet figured out how to do the second half, so if anyone knows how, I'd like to know.

I enjoyed this game. I am sad though that the game ended up being a battle of the lurkers in a way.

That's a frequent issue with multiball. Lurking is a pretty good strat as scum normally, and that's only exacerbated by the "If I lurk I'm not a present danger to the other scumteam(s)."

Also in "true" multiball, the factions are meant to be the same size.

Eh. Factions are meant to be balanced, not necessarily the same size. Asymmetrical multiball is honestly more appealing to me and there are multiple opens that utilize this style of balancing them by giving them different sets of powers. (The various Jungle setups, for example.)

With that being said, I think confusion as to the makeup of the scumteams here is entirely reasonable.

Yeah I said earlier that I really wish I had just gone with something else instead of aliens for the red herring cop. Like I said, I thought I was giving a clue to maybe third team but I think it actually just ended up confusing people too much for what I wanted it to do.

We shoulda made it a fish cop. It gets a guilty result on red herrings.
