The mystical land of Calculasia is a pleasant place, filled with lush vegetation and teeming with denizens of all shapes and forms. The land is divided into three main kingdoms by a fast-flowing river: Analysha, Geom, and Algebrea. In the center lies the capital of Calculasia, Rigoria, and it is a neutral land belonging to none of the three kingdoms. Instead, the Council of Calculasia resides there with representatives from all three kingdoms.

The job of the Council is an important one. Indeed, it is a great honor to serve on the Council. They set rules, negotiate treaties, and develop trade routes among the three kingdoms. Most importantly, the Council ensures that the three kingdoms are stable and that no foolishness abides within the lands. They examine every little detail of each kingdom's constitution and makes sure not a single error or gap exists.

Though the Council's influence and power is great, not everyone is happy with the current system. One particular group not satisfied with the current system is called the Intuitionists. "Why must everything be checked in such excruciating detail?" they ask. "Surely, one intuition is enough," they argue. The Council of course will have none of this. "That kind of thinking is dangerous and will lead to grievous casualties," responds the Council. Seeing as their thinking is blasphemous to the Council, the Council ruthlessly hunts for and imprisons anyone who espouses such ideology. Over time, the group known as the Intuitionists begins to fade. Their numbers dwindle from the Council's crusade against them.

Several decades later, a grand meeting is held in the capital, and dignitaries throughout the land are invited. The Intuitionists are but a distance memory, lost in the long history of Calculasia. All is going well until the sixth hour. The Chief Councillor is missing. The rest of the Council begins to search fervently for the Chief Councillor. An hour passes, and the Chief Councillor is nowhere to be seen. The remainder of the meeting is cancelled, all the dignitaries are sent home, and the search continues. After two more hours, the Chief Councillor is finally found, lying on the ground bleeding. "What happened?" ask the other Councillors. With her dying breath, the Chief Councillor lets out a brief response, "They called themselves Intuitionists!" She then collapses and stops moving.

Day 1 begins:

The next day, you, the members of the council, hold a special meeting to discuss the previous day's happenings. Unbeknownst to you, a few additional people are present. It is an hour into the meeting that one of you notices the discrepancy. "Wait! There's thirteen of us though there should only be ten!" one of you shout. Indeed, this is the case: for each kingdom sends three representatives, the capital sends another, and a eleventh is chosen from all the lands to serve as the Chief Councillor.

The room suddenly becomes very dark, and a deep, booming voice begins to fill the room. "At long last, we will have our revenge! We, the Intuitionists, have suffered greatly at the hands of the Council, but no longer. Today, the Council shall be no more. You are trapped and have nowhere to hide!" As the voice stops speaking, sunlight begins to fill the room and sweep away the darkness. One of you rush to the nearby door only to find it securely locked from the outside. Slowly, each of you turn to look at your neighbor in the eyes. "Could they be one of them?" each of you wonder. Eventually, voices begin to fill the room as each of you gets over the initial period of shock. "You may think you have won, but we will surely find you!" one of you shouts, and the hunt begins.

Night 1 begins:

An hour passes. Conversations begin to die down, and silence begins to fill the once boisterous room. Each of you shoots a quick glance at the people beside you. You then turn to face the one who calls faer-self Flea The Magician.

Fae begins speaking frantically. "No wait! You do not understand! I would never turn against the Council! My methods are well-documented and well-supported!" One of you steps forward and responds, "That's what they all say. Well-documented or not, the fact remains that 'close enough' has always been your motto. In these times, we cannot listen to such foolishness!" "No please! I beg of you! I can prove my methods works!" shouts Flea hysterically. Another one of you steps towards Flea and holds up their hand. With a loud and commanding voice, they shout, "Silence! We will have none of this! In these trying times, we must stand by the things we know are true. 'Close enough' doesn't cut it. You are hereby excommunicated."

The first one to step forward removes a book from their pocket. They open it and turn to page 314159265. They remove a black marker from their pocket and where the name Flea The Magician is marked, they cross it out. Flea The Magician's body begins to fade. All you can hear his cries as fae keep shouting, "No! Please reconsider!" over and over again. Soon, faer body finishes dematerializing. A small index card falls to the ground. Written on it are the details of faer life including faer latest job title. One of you steps forward, grabs it, reads it, and then frowns. "It appears fae were speaking the truth," they state. Exhausted, all of you agree to take a break and reconvene in fifteen minutes.

The fifteen minutes pass very slowly. Each of you shoots several furtive glances at each other. A cloud covers the sun, and the room is consumed by darkness. The cloud soon passes by, and light fills the room once more, but something feels different. One of you begins speaking, repeating the same lines over and over again. Another hour passes full of intense shouting and fearsome glares. The room becomes silent once again. Everyone turns to face the one who calls himself nomnomnom. One of you steps towards him.

nomnomnom begins speaking, and unlike Flea The Magician, his voice is calm and collected, "I ask you all to reconsider. The Council in its current form does more harm than good. What is the purpose of this insistence on checking everything?" One of you immediately interjects, "That meticulousness saves lives!" nomnomnom continues speaking unfazed by the interjection, "How? That is what the Council wants you to think. You see, the Council spreads its ideology far and wide. Anyone who does not believe is persecuted viciously. I ask though that you think this through. After all, Analysha had flourished for many centuries long before the formation of the Council." "That's enough!" another one of you interjects.

Without giving nomnomnom another chance to speak, the one who stepped forward removes a book from their pocket. They turn to page 27182818 and remove a marker from their pocket. They quickly scan the page, find the name nomnomnom, and cross it with the marker. nomnomnom's body begins to gradually turn translucent. Soon, nomnomnom's body disappears from sight. Left in its place is a small index card. One of you steps forth to grab it, reads it, and smiles. "We have achieved a great victory! We have eliminated one of those evil Intuitionists. Fully refreshed from the party, each of you begins discussing fervently. Very quickly, another hour passes. A chime outside begins to sound signaling that it is a quarter til two. At last, silence descends once more upon the group of you.

The room is once more plunged into chaos as various voices battle against each other. An hour quickly passes, and the arguments reach a climax. Suddenly, Almost50 stands up and throws the book in his hands at one of you. Everyone stops what they were doing previously and focuses on Almost50.

"I've had it with this nonsense. No one needs me anyway. Everyone thinks I'm useless just because I don't always reach a definitive conclusion like the rest of you," he shouts. One of you yells in response, "Good riddance! I never cared for your 'inconclusive' nonsense. We want results, not maybies or possiblies." Almost50 retorts, "I bet you're one of those Intuitionists yourself! They surely don't see the value in being conservative with one's conclusions."

The earlier responder ignores Almost50's retorts and removes a book from their pocket. This time, they turn to page 161803. They quickly scan the page for Almost50's name and marks it out several times with a black marker. Almost50's body quickly starts to become indistinguishable with the background. After another few seconds, it fades completely and leaves behind an index card. Another amongst you grabs it and reads it aloud to the rest of you.

Night 5 begins:

Once more, an hour passes. Only five of you remain, yet the room is noisier than ever before. At last, the room reaches a consensus. You turn and face Galron, expecting him to put it up a resistance.

Like nomnomnom before him, he is calm and confident even as he knows his doom is forthcoming. "My friends," he starts, "I ask you to listen to my words. Do not be deceived by your predecessors and traditions." He is then interrupted by one of you who shouts, "Who are you telling to not be deceived? You are the deceiver, the one who wishes to collapse our foundations!" Galron responds, "Yes, deceived you are, and deceived you shall be. Let me ask you, why is the proof needed when one's intuition gives the correct results?" "Silence! We have heard enough to know your guilt!" one of you shouts. They then pull out a book and cross out Galron's name on page 693147. Even as his body fades away, he continues to murmur away, but the rest of you are no longer listening. A small index card is left in his place, and one of you picks it up and reads it aloud to everyone.

The fifteen minutes pass, and sure enough, a horrifying scream is heard towards the end of those fifteen minutes. You turn to look where it came from and see a horrifying scene. One of WhemeStar's limbs has been forced into a boiling hot bowl of soup left over from the earlier party. You try to help him, but it is too late. Endgame:

"Well, this is it. Only three of us left," states Titus. Immediately, DrippingGoofball and MathBlade start vigorously accusing the other. After a long hour, Titus makes her decision. "I am sorry, but your crimes are too great," she begins as she stares at DrippingGoofball. "No wait! I am innocent! This is all just a setup!" cries DrippingGoofball. Titus does not relent, "Your explanations and excuses no longer cut it. They are a jumbled mess and lack continuity. My mind is settled." She takes out a book and turns to page 1. She finds DrippingGoofball's name and crosses it out. Its body begins to fade away, and in its place is left an index card. Titus reads the card and then shakes her head.

"At last!" exclaims MathBlade as he strikes a triumphant pose. He begins a long speech, "With the Council gone, we will institute a new order. One that does not rely solely on rigorous proof but instead follows one's principles. Proof was never meant to replace one's instincts as the Council purported. With that, MathBlade set out on his journey to change the ways of Calculasia. With the endorsement of Councillor Titus, he was able to become the new Chief Councillor of Calculasia and enact changes from the top. With his rule, a new practice emerged. No longer was every detail immediately examined very meticulously. Instead, a cursory scan was made, and if the need arose, a more detailed examination could be done. The lands of Calculasia flourished like never before under the rule of MathBlade. Their growth was no longer stunted by the long verification times of yore. To ensure that the old way did not resurface, the tale of the Battle of Calculasia entered the history books and was taught to every child in the lands.

: MURDERCAT's hero solve Day 1 was really on-point and scary for the scum team, enough so that they felt compelled to kill him Night 1. I don't feel anyone else came as close as he did.

: The one is tough. Both Toogeloo and DrippingGoofball were very successful with their night actions. Ultimately, I give the edge to DrippingGoofball because its night play had the greater impact on the game.
