Well last time we played I was scum (big shocker) and it was my first game back after my 6 month hiatus. It was a good game besides our Mod kinda abandoning us. Even as a PR he said kinda stupid ideas. He was a 2-shot town Roleblocker for context.

That game ended up having like 8 PR claims because all the PRs claimed early and all the scum also claimed PRs. So he kinda just... Let everyone elsa battle it out. He also had a big habit of literally ignoring my posts sometimes which frustrated me. So what's your read into his posts recently? How do you figure if he's just an awkward but nice TOWN guy who sheeps people while trying to give town ideas vs an awkward but nice SCUM guy who sheeps people while trying to give town ideas? What exactly about it doesn't feel right?

That might be from his personal experience. You gotta ask him that, HEM. Beginning the day defending someone rather then attacking seems about right for him, so I'm not making a hard read like you guys are doing.

This may also be bias but I'd rather wagon a more experienced player atm instead. Because while scum aren't known to wagon like page 3 (atleast alone and not RVS), they can easily help elim a guy early on. So I don't want a fast day by wagoning a guy and him breaking in pressure but then he flips town.

I can take a wagon so you can pressure me, but considering I'm a liar you know I won't claim VT anyway even if I am one, so I'd say go after a better player atm. Titus is a good player to be able to read early so I'm starting there.

I'm just a confident guygal. Always speaking in "maybes" suck so if I speak confidently people listen to me. It works very well.

Read my other town games and compare them to my scum games. Confidence is an easy thing to have, so it works out for me to always townread people first before scumreading them. "Innocent until proven Guilty", as the American court system would say.

Pressure is pretty good. These dayphases are less then a week so getting it early who we can trust is imperitive. Pressure works one of two ways: blunt tag-team or public attack.

Public attack means the entire town turns on one person and they react accordingly. It's effective but doesn't usually end with the target living.

Blunt tag-team means we'll work together to read a player better by encouraging them specifically to give more content. This way every one wins.

Plus, modifiers make anything different. In effect a neighborizor with a weak modifier basically makes it like a mini Masonry if I succeed. That's why I only get one shot.

You might have something like Disloyal, for example. A less punishing 2-shot for a less rewarding situation. And obviously you can bet on Roleblockers if you already have 2 of us visiting.

Don't confirm or deny my theory yet. if you have a modifier that helps town, keep it a secret still. Just know that's why I only claimed the one-shot part. I wanted to actually use the modifier effectively.

For future reference HEM: even if I'm scum this time, I literally only defended Kitty because I felt bad because I'm an emotional player like that. The Mafia scumteam rode that to my death hard since literally everyone shut down anything elsa going after that.

I make plans pre-game of my very first action BEFORE I know what role I'm even getting so that's what town!me planned from the beginning to do with defending Kitty. PR town me will lie to your face as well as VT me. I hate giving readlist day 1 too because it's WAY easier to get strong reads on 3-4 players instead of forcing myself to read everyone right day 1. I hope I can actually talk to people next time for non-alignment reasons for idle chit chat. That's my favorite part of mafia.
