Hello. I wrote a strongly worded letter for everyone on Saturday, when I logged on and realized the Day had already been ended

Dear players of Mini 2221 Tarot uPick: The Deviant Moon Edition,

Fuck me. Like... I just.... Fuck.

Time for a Full Claim, just so everyone can share in my frustrations ~~ And yes, I would like your pity.

My role originally had 2 abilities.

1)

I was a neighborizer.

At the end of Day 1, I would create a neighborhood that included all players who voted for the same person that I did. But.... since the thread closed 3 hours after it opened, and I never got a chance to join the thread, much less vote, it failed. No neighborhood for anyone now.

2)

I am also a doc

.... but I am a doc that can only target

players who are in my neighborhood

... which does not exist. So, everyone, please fill your self with deep regret, we could have had a doc this game.

I signed up for a role madness game, and I get to play it as a Vanilla Townie.

So yeah, fuck me I guess

I had already decided how I was gonna crumb it... I was gonna look for a post I could agree with, and respond

And then, the first post in the neighborhood was gonna point back to that quote. I was gonna say:

Anyways, was gonna then claim that was my only ability. I was gonna tell everyone in the neighborhood "I neighborized all of you, but that was my only ability. I am essentially a named townie at this point "

Boom, bam, ~~ actually, I'm a doc, hiding behind joke posts about Mr. Rogers Neighborhood -- scum team would believe I made the neighborhood, since they did not make it -- and they would have no reason to think I was a doc.

I had a plan...
But no....
Instead of getting to do any of that....

I will say that I am much less frustrated now then when I typed it. But that night, I was very, very not happy :/

So yeah, I have no abilities now. I am surprised to see that Cabd was also a neighborizor. I guess we would have had 2 neighborhoods if my ability had not failed

My opposition to early hammers aside, I think the way Cabd and Maria bullied lilith into (effectively) hammering was reprehensible.

She had not tried out a theme game before, but decided to try because she had played with most of the people signed up.

I am unsure why the level of anger is quite so high.

I mean, I was unable to post a single time Day 1, I lost all of my abilities because of the speed hammer, and I am the person who talked Marci into playing this game.
And compare that to Mena, who at least got a few posts in, (I assume) did not also lose his abilities, and from what I can tell, has not even played a game with Marci before.

So like, if anyone should be pissed, I feel like it should be me. But, while I was frustrated that night, we are 3+ days since it happened.

Anyone curious to see how Marci actually responded to this game, you can see that she retreated back to the Newbie queue.

We were all new at one point and sometimes we have obvious games and some don't. This just happened to fall in line. It'd be worse for us all to just pretend like it didn't happen than vote the person out. Don't let this get to you.

Marci should have been the Day 1 elim, but that does not mean she should have been voted out in 3 hours.

I thought you were hinting at having been in a neighborhood with Cabd over night -- but apparently that was Bridge

My whole point was that apparently Dunn had seen something from Bridgeburner that made them on scummier then Null.

I was asking what he had seen from them that was AI, because I did not see it when I personally looked at their iso.

I have come around to this idea as well. I am surprised that Skitter did not join the Gamma wagon on her own accord -- even when I asked her how she felt about Gamma, she said that he was scummy -- but still no vote.

I find it strange that I had to outright ask her to vote for her to push in that direction

Mena, I personally never thought that you were faking your anger at Cabd/Notscience, but I did think that it made you more likely to be scum.

I count Marci as a friend, and I personally talked her into joining this game, so I was incredibly frustrated to see her immediately hammered out of the game.

So I was frustrated with the way it played out, but you were way angrier. In a way that made more sense to be coming form scum.

A town player would be mad about the way it was handled, but that anger would be tempered by seeing that it did actually flip scum

@Gamma, I don't think that it is really fair to hold this loss entirely to marci

Yes, Marci froze up Day 1.

But also, Skitter/Mena's play in the neighborhood got clocked as scummy by Cabd

And also, I would say that your play day 2 was the scummiest of any of the members of the scum team -- yes, scummier then Marci's posts that got her elim'ed day 1

I think that the concede, when it happened, made sense to me -- and I don't hold it against any of the scum team.

It did feel a little like they came into Day 2 already practically giving up. That is my only real complaint, because I do think that they had a chance, even after Marci had got elimed day 1

As far as game balance, I'm not sure, but I don't think it ended up mattering this game, and it's not the reason scum lost. I think the associatives created day 1 were strong, and I don't think town should have to feel ashamed of having played that way this game.

I agree with this. I think that the way this game played out, would have been basically the same regardless of any combination of abilities that we might have had.

I also don't think that the dead chat stuff really mattered either -- at least for me. Honestly, I was a bit skeptical of it.
