I hate that this is a thing we're using to solve. Mafia is a game that involves manipulating, scum shouldn't feel guilty about manipulating people to play to their wincon.

He’s a very good scum player as you all know, so he wouldn’t have to resort to something like that is my point.

There's something deeply problematic about that sort of thinking in a game of mafia. I hate to go too much off topic but as long as the mafia is not being toxic or emotionally abusive i really don't see any problem with doing whatever it takes to fool other people into thinking they are not mafia. And if they already know that Amy thinks: "X would never do that as scum" that is just all the more reason to do exactly that. Having a flexible scum meta is key to actually being good as that alignment.
Anyway i do not think Pooky has done anything he would consider "too much" to do to you if he was scum here. And if you think he has, clearly we disagree.

It does tell us that if 1 scum flips in that group then the other 2 should not be scum.

After reviewing my theory, I had different results when considering a semi-complacent low cognitive strategic flow on the part of scum!Ircher, but I'm kind of skeptical of scum!he playing in this way and discarding the adaptability. I mean, even if true, meh, he's basically playing with a clock on his head saying "you'll get caught soon" and doing nothing about it.

Sure you can ask "why would he play this way", but that goes both ways.
Why would he play suboptimally in a way that get’s him looking suspicious as town? There is no good reason for that either, meaning it’s pointless to speculate in that direction.

There just seems to be something really fucky about Ircher's play, and i'm brainstorming the possibilities.
Theory A: He's an vengeful that wanted people to vote him so he could kill who he reads as scum.
Theory B: He's mafia that's just playing really weird and suboptimally.
Theory C: He's an mafia town PR enabler who dying would be beneficial for scum.
