ss1: a bunch of hooded werewolves who were led to believe they were scum but actually town

ss2: 1 solo mafia with a cult shot, started with only animal sounds, nominated 2 players to gladiate(didnt know it was a nom process) elimination led to treestumps/pairing into lover pairs coordinated by the scum.

ss3: 6 mafia vs 7 town, mafia lost if they lost a player in the first 2 eliminations, if first 2 elims hit town, the mafia would choose 4 of their players to "exit" and it would become a 2v5 with 2 dance pairs who would become nightkill immune for 1 night.

Chara is an incredibly pleasant and nice person that is a joy to play with.

Chara writes a lot but when you sit down and read through it all, it just feels too nice?

Like from my experience playing with Scum!Chara in Cats v Dogs, Chara is very good at getting townread.

Who would ever want to kill Chara? Chara is such a nice person and so wholesome.

From my experience playing with Scum!Chara in that mini normal a while back, Chara feels pretty low energy and less committed.

Anyway I told this to Chara in our scum PT for Cats V Dogs and Chara over-corrected to the point where Chara got NK'd for seeming too town I guess? :<

I like the thoughts Chara has, but they're kind of almost written to be liked? Chara's scum game is really really good.

Now back to the Public Masonry Blowup Thingamajig.

When Yin told me there was 1 scumbag in the public masonry, my first thought was that if this was true then it's just Chara cuz Norwee feels v v town to me.

I dunno if Yin tells us the truth or what rules he operates by but I figured might as well slap a vote on that and see what happens.

Let's break this reply down.


1. I don't think I really expressed a townread on Chara. Inviting someone to a public masonry is more of a joke to be honest.

2. Why does Chara think Scum!Pooky would decide to townread Chara and then use some nonsense reason to vote Chara? That's not very logical or smart to do, I can just make up some BS reason to vote Chara if I wanted to push Chara or like not townread Chara to begin with...

3. If Yin is lying, then Pooky/Norwee/Chara are all town, so how does it make sense to doubt both Yin and Pooky at the same time? It should be one or the other.


The way Chara reacts to it feels very nonconfrontational, like it wants to avoid open conflict with me, which makes sense because I'm an absolute savage at 1v1s and more savage when I'm town than when I'm scum. I don't think Chara would want to get into a poo-flinging contest with me, which feels like more of a scum feeling than a town feeling, because when you're town you kind of have to fling the poo to beat down the baddies but when you're a baddie you can kind of just dodge the poo flinging townie and shoot them at night.

Chara finally votes me a couple of posts later and even that is kind of like a fairly weak vote.

All this passivity could just be because Chara is a good person who doesn't enjoy poo flinging though so I kind of want to see more before I'm like "this person is defscum" or w/e

i okay with this. my mentality when thinking about infinity went: "oh, i remember i didn't like something she did early game", read her iso, went "oh yeah, i didn't remember this, but it's bad when i'm looking at it again." she doesn't feel like she's... herself, this is hard to describe unless you've played with her a lot. town her is more Here and in the moment, free-flowing and though she sometimes gets flak early game it usually clears up even during d1. and the fact that it isn't happening here is like. ya okay her being off wasn't just a fleeting thing.

i think there's something to be said about satoru's unwilingness to vote infinity and positing her as someone who can be read later, while also... like. to me, the mentality about robert (we should get him out now as he's bait and we will not be able to solve him at all late game and he will just get killed by scum into a loss) (which i think is a scummy mindset in general; i lost a post i was trying to write earlier when my spare laptop's battery died wherein, i felt like satoru did none of the legwork to solve robert and was just fine kicking him over and see what he flipped which is the /exact/ sort of mindset that he's like, talking about will happen later down the line) isn't being extended to infinity, which doesn't make sense because like... what is a mt vote doing right now? why not vote someone you scumlean when there's a wagon on her when it will let 1) town!satoru live longer to do things and 2) fits into the mentality of "well all scum die eventually."

i was thinking of a somewhat similar situation in a game i played a while ago. when the deadline plurality was approaching with s/t wagons, the game was insanely active. the next day, with t/t wagons, the game was really quiet approaching deadline. i know it's not necessarily the same situation, and this is a hectic game so god knows what is actually happening, but the fact that the game seems very resigned to infinity/nakata wagons is not giving me any good feelings about their yeets.

i still think the ircher/infinity/nakata pool is wrong, is there any other reason they are grouped together?

one way I thought would be possible in a 9 mafia vs 4 town game would be to have the mafia votes count for only 10% of a normal vote, whereas the town votes count as full votes.

Now a elim will never get reached because it's impossible to have a player hit 7 votes when the total amount of voting power in the game is really just 4.9, - hence the need for the plurality voting rules..

for one they would never let a wagon hit 7 votes, as if it did and the game didn't result in an elim, the gig would be up?

so they would be shuffling their votes around to make things never get there, but they also have to manipulate the "real" town votes such that town elim themselves - they need townies to vote townies, I would expect this type of setup to have no nightkills.

in the above system I outlined, if every townie voted a different player, the mafia could basically pile onto the one elim they want, and their (10%) votes would work as a tiebreaker mechanism to vote out their target.

Also it wouldn't look suspect to us because it would look like more players are voting for the elim in total, if 1 townie and 4 mafia vote for someone, and thats the leading wagon at 1.4, it would look like a leading wagon at 5 going thru.

Now obviously I don't know for sure what type of weighting system would be used to balance this kind of game but that's just speculation
