The Rules

ONE: FUNDAMENTALS
- All site-wide rules apply. Read and respect them.
- There is no personal communication outside the forum postings (regarding this game) unless your role specifically allows it.
- Do not quote your Role PM or any private communication (either real or fabricated) with the moderator, co-moderator, backup-moderator, or fellow players. Paraphrasing your Role PM is acceptable.
- Be courteous and respectful to all your fellow players and the moderating team.
- Play to your Win Condition.
TWO: DAY PHASE
- All groups with Private Topics (PTs) will be able to converse during any Day Phases.
- Votes must be in the format of VOTE: PlayerName or
  Vote: PlayerName
  , or they shall not be counted. Abbreviating someone's name is acceptable, so long as I can discern who you were voting for without trouble. If I think it should count as a vote, it will.
- Unvoting is not required, but is much appreciated.
- Once you have reached a simple majority (half of all living players plus one) that person's fate is sealed and they shall be eliminated. Unvoting cannot change their fate.
- Once a player is eliminated the game enters twilight until I arrive and post a death scene. All players may continue to post during Twilight.
- Please post at least once every 48 hours. If you fail to do so, you will be prodded. If you fail to respond to said prod within 24 hours, you will be replaced.
- If you get three or more prods, or fail to respond to a prod by posting in thread within 24 hours (or by PM if at Night), I will begin seeking for a replacement (this means the third prod functions like a notice that you are racing the search for your replacement.)
- A deadline extension may or may not be granted; just ask.
- Votes and Unvotes shall not count in Twilight.
THREE: NIGHT PHASE
- All groups with Private Topics (PTs) will be able to converse during any Night Phases.
- Any role or faction with night abilities may choose to use them by PM-ing the mod with their choice.
- If no action is received, no action will be taken. All actions received after the deadline has passed will not be valid.
FOUR: CAPITAL OFFENSES
- Do not quote your Role PM or any private communication (either real or fabricated) with the moderator, co-moderator, or backup-moderator. Paraphrasing your Role PM is acceptable.
- There is to be no personal communication outside the forum postings (regarding this game) unless your role specifically allows it.
- The following is a list of outlawed shenanigans:
  - Using invisible text, codes, cryptography, etc.
  - Editing your posts (if you have the power to do so)
  - Insulting other players
  - Quoting any PTs you may have access to
- If any of these offences are committed, I have the right to force-replace you from the game, or, with Listmod permission, modkill you.
FIVE: MISCELLANEOUS
- This is a game. Have fun, and keep the game fun for other people. This might be the most important rule.

AWAKEN, VILLAGERS OF THE PIT!

A harsh cry jolts you from your sleep, and you awaken to unfamiliar surroundings inside a stone house of sorts. The last thing you remember is being captured and knocked out by the Royal Guard...

You leave your makeshift house to investigate. Others follow from similar houses, seeming to arise with expressions matching your own.

Welcome to your new home, friends - the pit. You're all here for crimes of treason, murder, theft, arson... you name it. However, there is a slight problem; I'm fairly certain a good amount of you are innocent and wrongfully convicted. But no matter! I'm sure if you spend some time together, you will become very good judges of each other's character. Sentence someone between yourselves to death by nightfall, good luck. Oh, and one last thing!

He points to a man and a woman standing a little apart from the main group.

This is Yin and Yang; they'll be accompanying you here in the pit. Yin may have vital information for you and will answer any question you ask. Yang may or may not have information for you and may or may not answer any questions you ask.

NOTE:

Yin and Yang are NPC accounts that will interact with you. You can each ask Yin a single question every 24 hours. You can ask Yang as many questions as you like. To ask either a question, please embolden and use a blue font on their name as such:
