Not just any Shop Steward, you're the youngest steward ever elected by your union local. You are fiercely protective of your constituents and realize their entire way of life, already threatened with the Pandemic-fueled factory closures, could disappear forever into a sea of restaurants, hotels and ticket booths. Lake Phantasia's movers and shakers are going forward with their theme park plans, unmoved by the fact that they will be replacing good paying family-supporting jobs with minimum wage hospitality and restaurant jobs. You're determined to oppose the theme park in any way you can for the sake of the Union and the workers who elected you to represent them. The only effect the Card of the Day has is that any players who chose a card of that suit for one of their three cards AND who have an X-Shot night ability and use it that night will have the shot refunded. You can use this ability on Day 1 if you wish.

  - Twice during the game at night you can choose a player to roleblock. Any night action they may have that night will be prevented.

ffery, important question, will this game have some sort of variation of the isis corollary (“I, and all members of my faction known to me, vote: X and win the game”) or locked votes in lylo? Aware that I’m asking this as an interested party, but I intended to check before and forgot, I think I remember you being amenable to the idea in the postgame of pmylo, so thought I’d check now before you have the ruleset for the game up in thread

That won't be a feature of this game's rules.

I would be amenable to having that as a corollary in a game that doesn't have 24/7 chat.

It means that if, say, Marcistar uses the ninja ability with the factional kill, that counts as multitasking and she can't use historian on the same night.

So gamma can't roleblock and strongman on the same night, but could roleblock and do Card of the Day or roleblock and do an ordinary factional kill on the same night.

Yes, an x-shot expended that night would be refunded and able to be used again.

If the player already used all their shots? then there could be no refund that night because the player wouldn't have a shot to use.

If a player had one shot, used it the night after card of day activation, then they would still have one shot left after that night.

Ah! when you requested your cards you listed Eight of Coins.

Coins and Pentacles are the same suit, but some decks/traditions call it Coins and some call it Pentacles. I think "Plates" is another name for the suit, but it's not common at all.

ah thanks! yeah i think the deck you linked to in the game advertisement had coins, but the description of the pentacles card sounded similar to what i chose, and google tells me coins/pentacles are the same, but i wrote cups by mistake lol

Yeah, the biddy site uses "coins" almost exclusively, but the deck images that have the suit name (face cards and aces) say "pentacles".

I should have clarified, but my mind substitutes automatically, and I didn't even notice.

This has been a not-uncommon mechanic in the past, but maybe it's fallen out of use in the last 2-3 years. I've been neighborized by the dead a couple times, and have played in games where others were dead-neighborized.
