disagree. what about an ice cream sandwich? or if i want to make myself a cold cut sandwich but I find I've run out of bread and have to use hot dog buns instead, is my lunch no longer a sandwich?

I was going off the English definition, which is the correct definition of course, so no the cited example aren’t sandwiches.
