It's just too much AtE. It's taking a situation that's borderline compromising the game integrity and then waving it in people's faces who weren't informed about the game .

And yes, this interpretation isn't very fair, that's my bias.

I completely understand that it's a very powerful strategy and it's playing to a wincon, but at that point, it goes beyond a game to me.

I say this as someone who this type of stuff has happened to more than once already.

Like, I've lost late game in a large because of things like this that that with my brain.

I think I agree with this. If the blowup wasn't an intentional scum strategy then maybe it's less bad, and I don't think it was intentional here, but it feels like it is outside the spirit of the game to use things like this as a scum strategy.

I think if you draw a line where doing ___ as town is acceptable but doing the same thing as mafia is unacceptable, it just creates imbalances in the game.

I do recognize some players are unwilling to do certain things as mafia that they are willing to do as town but imo that is somewhat unfair for the players involved as it creates clears where there really should not be clears.

I understand what you're saying. At least personally, I'm not willing to have a fight like that as any alignment, and I think that's a good line to draw
