I believed that voting myself created a favourable vote distribution by tying the leading wagons. The associations created by how players react to / break ties are one of the few ways I know how to generate useful information from RVS after some flips later in the game.

More briefly, I was hoping to incentivise someone to vote me (or N_M) and break the tie in an informative manner.

More briefly still, I also found it funny and fun.

mmm it's something I've been thinking about, and yes, I think it has to an extent.

sometimes I have the mental wherewithal to tryhard properly.
sometimes doing that kind of thing just isn't viable for me. In the past that's lead to me sometimes lurking more than is ideal, or even flaking out. I've come to realize I held myself to a dumb standard and shouldn't let my playstyle(s) lead to stress, so I've been experimenting with that.
There's a sweet spot between liveposting and letting the posts pile up, and in an effort to not fall into the latter, i've been doing more of the former, for better or for worse.
