this actually feels bad, though. "datisi post = town; datisi not post = scum" has been untrue for a very long time, and ydrasse knows this. hell, i don't know if she's even aware that it's ever been true, considering it's been untrue in her first encounter with scumtisi. so calling me out for not being hyped and equating that with being scum!indicative feels... odd.

by the way, it was 2am at the time i wrote that post. i was about to fall asleep, but i decided to check ms one last time before i do so, and i saw the game had started. so i decided to egopost. and i'm also somewhat sure ydrasse knows my timezone, so.

don't think i have a great answer to that. i can give you a general description of ydra's play, but i've never been in a game where i've seen her play a town from an uninformed perspective (all of her towngames i've seen first hand were either when i was scum or when i was the mod, neither of which help me meta-wise).

the reason i ask is because "what do you think of x's scumgame" is not a very sorty question. that is, i don't think my own alignment actually influence the answer, as you're asking me about my prior knowledge that's unrelated to my role pm. and i don't think it actually helps you sort ydra that much either, considering she can also read the answer and potentially play around it.

I think this goes into the subjective nature of determining someone's alignment. While it is a fair point to say that me in conversation often achieves more noise than clarity, I like having players spew because it gives me more material to parse later.

I think it's ok to treat certain claims as alignment-indicative as long as we continue to also read those players behaviourally and cross-check the conclusions.

I have no experience with Taly.
Nothing in his behaviour prior to this point indicated that he was prone to sudden aggressive emotional outbursts. He seemed emotionally stable and objective. Without a progression to follow the sudden appearance of strong frustration does strike me as fake. Obviously it is very possible that I misread his general mentality, especially if you have meta of him doing this as town.

You're right. I am generally an even-keel player but I do have abrupt bursts of emotion or impose my will to receive acknowledgement. I'm quite self-aware of the consequences it can bring. I don't intentionally AtE but realize when it happens.

Eh I was mad because this is a 22p game where it's actively difficult to assess the gamestate and its very easy for town to think passively and scum to run the show.

It really pinged me when I suddenly 4-5 slots discussing a read on me and none with a definitive conclusion., or at least not one without some suggested paranoia.

And I genuinely wanted people to see what yhey thought of my claim. It's validity. Etc.
