1. Ant-Man (2015)
I had a lengthy conversation on New Year's Eve about how I didn't enjoy Marvel movies being "oh no the world is in danger". I had remembered Ant-Man suffering less from that.
The main character is an actual human with real struggles and the story focuses more on his personal issues. The "oh and terrorists are trying to buy weapon tech" really just sorta is stuffed into the background while Scott tries to be a good dad.
Bad forced romance, but good giant ant being fed scraps under the table.

2. Ant-Man and Wasp (2018)
Even less "world is in danger", more "humans being human while physics does weird stuff".
World not even remotely in danger. No real villain outside of the business guys who misunderstand what's happening and they are pretty explicitly sidelined by all the more interesting characters and things that are happening.
Favourite MCU film.
I usually watch other movies but they were relevant to a conversation so I watched them back to back."Computer games don't affect kids; I mean if Pac-Man affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music." -Kristian Wilson, Nintendo Inc., 1989- AcRv

3. Moneyball (2011)
I am bad with baseball and statistics.
I enjoy game theory though so it was fascinating.
Really don't remember much except understanding the frustration of trying to play a game with people who are playing a different game."Computer games don't affect kids; I mean if Pac-Man affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music." -Kristian Wilson, Nintendo Inc., 1989- AcRv

4. Alice in Wonderland (1951)
Somehow had never seen it before. Felt like watching something mindless and upbeat. Got exactly what I was looking for.
Then got really confused why the Disney+ starring section for the film in the details section casually leaves off Kathryn Beaumont's name. You know, the person who voiced Alice. Who the movie is named after. But no, she's not a star in it or anything."Computer games don't affect kids; I mean if Pac-Man affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music." -Kristian Wilson, Nintendo Inc., 1989 - AcRv
