Re: "The exchange"
I've been in DWlee's shoes recently. Stephen would argue the color of the sky with them. Every time a legit answer is run in a circle it gives someone a chance to misrep the original answer. I don't like what he's doing. The entire character(Stephen) and more likely than not the game opening, and maybe even the entire game is already being played as some sort of gambit. its all pre meditated. Not saying thats AI at all because obviously there is no way to know what they will roll, but I feel this character would have been installed regardless of green or red.
For anyone that may not know the Real Stephen A Smith is famous here in the US for being a master debater on pro sports, and his style is known to rile people up. It's his schtick. Is House a sports fan? Cause even the sports references are correct. When I asked for the "lay off the weed quote" BOOM! It was there
I am a little surprised DW would care so much, and I don't think they were expecting the length of what was about to happen. But again, I'm not used to DW Omgussing like that, that seems out of character. but I think they were talking to a wall at this point, and from the looks of it I'm probably next. yay..
Side not I'm a little wary of anyone who says there are ignoring it because it's the most signifficant exchange up to this point."Would you like to know more?"

It's AI because its a hedge list based on nothing, and its on like page 3 and regardless of what happens you have left every possible out for yourself.like all of them. Thats why it's scummy. In post 192, Stephen A Smith wrote:

I felt the answers were genuinely written. There was no defiance in any of it. My main reason for that line of question was to get more of a tone.and writing style. Not necessarily concrete information. In post 245, HockeyFan wrote:what about wave's 214 did u find town? Im not really sure how this post changes your read on them
I like to look at things a little differently when I play. Of course there are the mechanics and rules and whatnot but so many people neglect other things like tone.
I also watch the games for changes in a writer’s punctuation. It can be a great tell, especially if it varies.
I(we) all have a solid baseline on how wave writes when they feel relaxed and not under a lot of pressure."Would you like to know more?"

and FTR, i do find the post towny but because of the actual content he said on the last line: "like, the actual towniest thing stephen has done this game was posting a list of scumreads and offering zero explanation for them
It's not that they HAD no explanation. The reads did have reasoning behind them. But in that moment he didn't particularly care to justify them nor care what people thought about them, even when challenged about it. I think that tends to come from town more than mafia"(this just seems town)
Fwiw, I am very slow to make reads I feel confident in. So I am very ok with the list with no explanation.
I have to go on reads because my mech game is horrid. If setup equations start showing up, I check out.
And as I said the responses are noted and of course useful. But more a by product of info this early."Would you like to know more?"

This is fair. It’s also timing. I’m more apt to accept it in the very early stages of the game where one exchange can change multiple reads on multiple detail. I would naturally expect more explanation as time progresses. In post 251, fireisredsir wrote:
i don't really scumread wave for the post, but i did think it was interesting that he said that he townread steve for offering zero explanation for his reads, feeling no need to justify himself, etc., when wave did that very same thing himself in the same post. it feels a little too clean and lines up too nicely, ya know? seemed like it could have been intentional, doing the same thing that he is then saying is a townie thing to do. i do think he could have done it as town, but i think it's not giving him enough credit to townread him for the postIn post 248, Scorpious wrote:I felt the answers were genuinely written. my town read came from prose and syntax, I know thats not common way of playing this game but that's how I do it. because i lack other skills, mainly mech knowledge. In post 278, Frozen Angel wrote:You town read him for honesty about admitting with putting random votes and making random comments? or did you find something else in his process that made sense to you about how he is progressing the game for himself?
I play a lot of poker and people lie to your face all the time, so you learn to ignore what people say and focus more on how they say it. I try to apply the same concept here."Would you like to know more?"

Also as I said. I take a very long time in forming reads I feel confident about They can change in a heartbeat . This sentence could change your entire read on me9whatever it is),and its only real day 2. I just like to make sure I get out what I'm thinking in the open. So people can naturally (like you) can understand my way of thining better, because I do tend to try to think outside the box because trying to solve a game using the trite meta/mech methods get old sometimes. In post 282, Frozen Angel wrote:I read the previous posts.
The thing for me is that they were not under any sort of pressure though. The questions were very straightforward and they came up with the simplest answers to all of them that couldn't reflect their anxiety in any way. I was just trying to see what you saw there and can't.
I trust and understand people have different methods to pursue in a mafia game and most of them reach valid conclusions many times from different points of view. I respect that so I'm not gonna call your read baseless but in the meantime, I can't follow your thought process on it at all."Would you like to know more?"

Stephen A Smith is a very in your face sports debator. He is basically what is being represented so exquisitely in this game.In post 299, Andante wrote:Fire is town. Quite certain there.
@297 no clue, but you with that post feels like you'r trying to send stephen on a tangent with something not related to the game, right as stephen was having good lines
Lebron James is a very famous basketball player that he talks about allllllll the time.
He is also on a sports network that is becoming notorious for being one one side of the political spectrum, and for some reason Lebron James (the basketball player) feels the need to speak on many social issues.
Hence the joke..there ws no intent to spur on a tangent about nothing..

If you’re communicating a list these are details that should be included. In post 343, Andante wrote:umm I can explain my list a little better later for people interested, but I also don't wanna feel forcer to live by those reads so mehhh like a few of the higher up reads are contingent upon having towny content later, got the placing cause of stuff I liked/their interactions with each other
At this point with all of your explanations about it, it’s almost moot.
And why would you put people higher on a list that are “contingent” on town content? That doesn’t make a lot of sense.
And fwiw, I’d pick this list apart regardless of my station. It’s just a horrible post.
Adante goes into early scum pile for me. Too much explanation needed for a list that is horrible to begin with."Would you like to know more?"

One last thing about “the list”
I was told why I was scum read. Based on me trying to re direct posting. Fair.
Then I ask if they knew who SAS really was and they said no.
I feel I was very helpful in explaining how my scum read comment wasn’t that at all, and was STILL on the bottom of the list. Surely I’d move up a notch or two based on that.
Strongest and really only sr at the moment and I gotta clear this joke vote. So.

If you are going to use this, you should also use the other rationale I had behind it. I'm not accusing you of partial quoting or mis repping, but its close but I've said twice now,and you just re-iterated. I wasn't pressing you at all. As I have aid I wanted to see how you would respond. In post 351, wavemode wrote:
f there's anything you want to know just ask. I don't want to be cagey, I just want to be efficient. In post 296, fireisredsir wrote:wavemode thinks that lack of explanation and not really caring about being questioned is townie, and he gives super casual "yeah so what" responses to scorp and me
the problem with wallposting is, most people don't really read it all anyway. like, not REALLY
so I'm not particularly likely to go into a ton of detail unless you ask me a direct question. tends to be a waste of effort. and I'm lazy, you know? and the questioning process generates useful reactions
and come on, most of those questions in 203 were not real questions, everyone here recognizes that right?even scorpious himself will admit that.he's not a newbie, he knows how RVS works
like honestly tell me, which of those questions besides the last one actually warranted a detailed response. whichever one you think it is, I will happily answer in more detail
if scorp flips scum we will look back on the fact that I was able to provoke him to post that ridiculous 203, as a game-winning play
I'm a little lost to on the "knowing how RVS works" comment, its been mentioned multiple times we kind of warp speeded that this game and this was way after the fact."Would you like to know more?"
