If I'm not mistaken, the difference is that a cop investigates people to learn their alignment (pro-town or anti-town) but not their role, while a rolecop learns their role (doctor, tracker, etc.,) but not their alignment (so VT and Goon both give a Vanilla result).

We'll have to agree to disagree here. Discussing previous games is unproductive, IMO. Understanding players experience level is a different story and something that is helpful. No need to discuss how someone played previously as Mafia, or vanilla town, etc. though.

I would think it can be helpful to identify patterns in a person’s playstyle. I don’t think it’s smart to base reads off only that but it can still be a factor.

I dug through furtive's ISO. Not very much stood out to me, so still an overall null read.
The last part of 81 comes across townish as random wagoning benefits scum. 114 and 121 are along a similar line.
110 is questionable but could be a noob take or poor wording.
I obviously can't comment on anything related to the previous game though.

Mr Turtle - Initial gut feeling says townie and I like the logic in 183 and 202.

Somnus - Similar reasons to Mr Turtle.

furtiveglance - My points in 177 still stand, but their defenses in 184 and 209 have leaned me in a townish direction.

TTTT - You are entirely unreadable.

PlmPestPlaY - Hasn’t posted enough to get an impression.

Lukewarm - I get a slightly off vibe but I have zero evidence so I’m not going to call them scum.

BigTerp - furtive has convinced me not to vote for them but I still find their logic strange for reasons that have already been discussed.

marcistar - Not liking 169. The read on furtive was questionable. Felt like she was fishing for reasons to find them scummy. I didn’t see any of the things she was talking about. 204 seems suspicious as well but I would expect that more from newbie scum. So not sure quite what to think.

Nobody should hammer until first giving "intent to hammer" and allowing Marci to claim a role and to let other players unvote if they aren't ready for the day to end.
