also for everyone asking the history between noraa and i is that i think in every game where ze was mafia i was able to identify it (sometimes later rather than sooner but i think the rate is ridiculously high) and corner zir and when we are both town we have style clashes/thought clashes

which is why noraa’s opener is dubious to me because it feels like i was identified as someone who needs to be handled for them personally and for the benefit of a team. i also think they would not play the long game with me if they were mafia and would just leave pretty fast (whether or not that’d be a good strategy is meh but i think that impulsiveness fits)

that being said i don’t think noraa is Extremely scummy or anything; a bit and not a viable dance partner for me but not kill on sight yet.

maybe because it’s a marked difference to have my reads lauded in zir posts and propped up as good reads rather than being on the offensive

i am almost always one of the last scum standing and you have made me lose like two scum elos in a row. why would i EVER give you the chance to take me out of the game in that situation off of your own reads alone?

and why would i dance with you solely to take you out of the game? that would be a pretty bad reason to pair with someone on day 1 as mafia.

you’ve spent the game thus far propping up my readrate; i find it reasonable to suggest you as mafia have this approach towards me because of that history and respect.

you are the type of player imo who would do something loud and flashy like that if it was necessary to like ~win me over~ and see what my thoughts were and if need be take me out

especially if you’re leaning on games like the ffxiv one where it took a while for me to distrust you

i don’t want to see dunn left out at this point, his arguments... don’t feel like they’re unsound? i read them and the things that he’s saying i nod along to, while it’s pretty verbose than dunn generally is from my experiences i don’t think that verbosity is like. him trying to be all charismatic towny or whatever. i also think that it’s... unfair to use things like townreads on him as a weapon to push him because like. it refuses to acknowledge the alternative that people think he’s town... because he might be town.

noraa or luke should be left out at this point.

also an idle thought that i haven’t fleshed out too much yet is that the opening pairs might all be pure town.

i guess with my current reads it’s the thing where town flings themselves into the action and scum who has sat back to try and plan are suddenly left scrambling a bit more to try and find partners because oh no why is town doing what they did.

there have been moments where i felt like noraa’s emotions were calculated like zir’s petulance (crazy how x crazy how y) being a display that was a momentary thing but then faded away and didn’t really imbue posts anymore. and the big stream of thought about dunn earlier and also just how i feel a lot of their thoughts and posts early are crafted out of necessity and how they would be perceived rather than solving

luke has been ... strange but maybe i can go back to taking that at face value that this is more likely to be genuine a bit but also even that i’m like ~_~

This feels divorced from our progressions on one another.

To be clear, we both were scum reading the other until Noraa dropped their Dunn case. Noraa scum read me, but prefered a Dunn elim today. Noraa was my prefered elim for the day.

Then Noraa's case dropped, and it flipped my read of them.

Then, me flipping my read of them, flipped their read of me.

I believed Noraa's read change on me at the time, but looking back now thinking they are scum, I guess they were just happy to get me as an ally.

to me it is enemy of my enemy is my friend and then friends would try to help friends ice out the enemy with the tools they have

i don’t think it’s a very compelling point before a flip much but is on my mind
