Yeah, clan cats are picky about who they let in (Thunderclan is the one known for being the most open). I remember there being a couple of good cats let in (the very first protagonist was one) but only 1 bad one comes to mind* and the villains are more memorable.

Honestly here I think it's ThunderClan, though with PP's recent actions in the hood I think he miiiiight be scum there. But I also have reasons to believe ThunderClan is pure.

I tend to undermine my own arguements with humour (it's a game not debate club), so I guess it can come off that way

I do think that being in a group chat with someone increases the feeling of attachment which one can misinterprate as towniness. It's slight but it's enough for me to have doubts when Kitty hasn't provided their reasoning yet afaik (Also considering that Thunderclan is the main focus and thus has plenty of options in either direction)
