Mini 660 - Star Trek: DS9 Mafia (Ruined = Over)

I took it as I would someone making a joke. It was on the first or second page, which is where all the jokes/irrelevant banter goes on.ZONEACE wrote:How would know if it's relevant or not. That sort brushing over things is odd. As someone else suggested, what if i was signaling or sending instructions to other people in the game (i wasn't), that would have been EXTREMELY relevant. deciding on a whim what is and is not relevant, especially this early in the game is NOT HELPFUL AND IN FACT GOES AGAINST TOWN INTERESTS.Jebus wrote:Klingon might be relevant, but what he said in Klingon isn't reallysekinj wrote:I think klingon is completely relevant in this mafiaJebus wrote:To make you discuss something a bit more relevant than what someone said in klingon or whatever.
I could understand it being of interest if it came up randomly fifteen pages into it, but here? It's about as helpful as a 'lol'.

Also, if the mafia, whoever they may be, were not allowed to talk to each other at all, how would they get the hint to use a random Klingon phrase to communicate, especially if everyone can figure out what that phrase means?
It makes no sense. Occam's razor. The simplest solution is usually the right one.

How about a win conditions claim? I want to see Zone claim first.Timeater wrote:Zone, you've been pretty critical of Jebus but you've witheld your vote. Any reasoning for that? I'm all for pushing for a claim (I'm a big claim pusher). Or multiple claims until we find one we dont like (which is what it boils down to most of the time -_-)
Because it's awesome.qatlh ta' SoH rur yuch

I missed the win condition thing, which was an honest accident, not intentional. I'm no mafia-newb, either. You know, I do realize how scummy I act. Why? Personally, I hate games with a deadline of longer than a week. Slow games that drag on forever bore me. If I act different from everyone else, there's a better chance of someone doing something scummy.Timeater wrote:Yeah, Jebus playing the "oopsiedaysies I'm just a newb so pwease dont get angwy at me if I act scummy" bit is getting kind of annoying.

I could say the exact same. And like you, I'm used to taking votes/etc throughout the game.Timeater wrote:you have no idea what my playstyle is like.
Though since your playstyle seems so much like my own, I'd wager I could make a few accurate predictions as to your actions.
First off, you'll probably come up with a reason why the roleclaim is a good idea, and then try to convince everyone else of it. Though I'm not completely in agreement with it, meh, it may be worth it.
My vote was random too, so
unvote

The idea has to be brought up to discuss it, doesn't it?CallMeLiam wrote:Fos: Timfor slapping down the claim idea without actually discussing it.
Personal attacks aren't part of my play. They spontaneously occur when someone is pissing me off, and it takesJebus: Your play is making it very easy for me to vote for you. Personal attacks have no place in mafia.
a lot
to piss me off. I only make such comments on these rare occasions.Either way, lets get this game going.
Mana_Ku, whaddaya think of this so far?

I brought up a win-condition claim, not a full roleclaim. That, of course, made no sense, since the win condition was posted by ChannelDeli. I missed that, and then found no point in the roleclaim.CallMeLiam wrote:You brought the idea up, and Tim didn't explain why he thought it was a bad idea.Jebus wrote:The idea has to be brought up to discuss it, doesn't it?CallMeLiam wrote:Fos: Timfor slapping down the claim idea without actually discussing it.Personal attacks aren't part of my play. Secondly I echo what sekinj just said.
@sekinj - I don't defend it at all. I did it. Leave that part alone now, mmkay?

Apparently you all go in there at night and talk about stuff, and I listen in on it all.ZONEACE wrote:exactly, and what good is a tracker if all he can do is stay in the holosuites at quarks bar? Nothing about my role indicates i have any business there, so how would you ever be able to track me?Jebus wrote:Like the holosuites at Quark’s bar?

I choose who I listen to, so the lack of indication means nothing, really. I take it you're not a regular townie-equivalent, since you say nothing indicates an event, when townies almost never have indicated events in their role-pm. Even in the flavour.
I'd assume it's all spontaneous as well.

Does it say anywhere that you don't at least visit the Holosuites?ZONEACE wrote:MY POINT IS WHY THE FUCK WOULD WE ALL BE CONFINED TO THE HOLOSUITE AT NIGHT??? Does it say anywhere in your role PM that you're confined to the holosuites at night?
I am a hologram in a bar. You talk a lot about stuff in the bar. I can listen. That's basically what Vic Fontaine does, according to my role pm.
And as I've said, I've not seen past the first few episodes of the first season of Star Trek, I really don't know much about it at all.
And @Tim: Where does it say there are nine main characters?
Bastard ModGod. Mislynch fodder. Suave savior.
I would do the same, and say the same.ZONEACE wrote:Timeater wrote:I would tooo, and its not me.Right now, between Jebus and Zone, I would bet money that at least one of them is scum.
In a word vs. word between two people, it's usually up to the others to decide the outcome, not the contenders.
Either way, each of us saying that the other is scum isn't going to do much.
And FoS: Tim. I'm not even sure what to think of you in terms of alignment >.<
