Yeah, but what you're not understanding is that a few years ago, 150 pages would have been one of the all-time longest games. Rolling In The Deep (NY142) was in the 160s or something (a bunch of the pages were eaten in the Great Tiger Attack of '11-'12 - CONSTANT VIGILANCE) and it was I think second longest for a while. Its D1 lasted 84 pages, and was briefly THE longest day on record.
Now, those numbers are unremarkable. A large game's D1 hits 100 pages as often as not, and no one blinks if it tops 200 pages by the end of the game. Now there are D1s that are as long as those epic old games, and some games are topping 500 pages. They're also getting faster paced. Anyone who's been around a while will tell you that most of the really talented older players have been drifting away from the site, or restricting themselves to semi-invitational games like Camn's Revenge.
I have a much longer manifesto about this, and I'm designed a massive large game with an eye towards combating these unhealthy trends."Cry havoc, and let slip the wombat of war!"

Are you a bit fed up with shitposting? Do you long for the days when Mafia was played at a more sedate, serene pace? Where people actually put decent effort into their posts, and didn't spam up the game?
Concise Mafiais for you!
I am playtesting a semi-experimental mechanic by which everyone is limited to one post per 24-hour period. This is meant to force people to think before they post, and give real consideration to what they're saying. Can you make yourself heard with only one post per (real) day?
Game Name: Concise Mafia
Flavor/Mechanics:Everyone will be restricted to one post per real day. Bare votes and unvotes don't count.
Your Experience:Pine's Deathtrap(GOTY nominated!), Pine's Lightning Mafia (Eaten by Tigers)
Current Modding Commitments:None, one game in the Open Mod Queue.

Restrictions:Are there restrictions for who can play your game?
Is it possible your game has any of the following bastard roles or mechanics?cults, mid-game alignment changes, moderator lies that cannot be reasonably anticipated (for example, Godfather, Tailor, Miller, Ninja, and mechanics like that are generally fine. Telling someone they are a reflexive doctor when they're actually a PGO is not), secret win conditions, un-divulged non-randomness in player role/alignment generation, direct moderator influence during the game: Game is Normal aside from post restriction."Cry havoc, and let slip the wombat of war!"
