No he's town, though there is also a cat dog cop who ALSO investigated andante last night, which gives more credence to the idea that her day 1 play left much to be desired given role.

It TMIs that she knows he's town. The logical conclusion of "SS is the same as he was last time we played together and he was scum." isn't "therefore he is the same every alignment." It is "therefore he is more likely to be scum here." Unless you have a reason to believe that he's town.

yeah, it wasn't a great thing to say in this game, but i didn't know he was town. and if pressed i would have replied that i have seen town SS before and he also seemed the same. plus there's context i could pull of Chara doesn't actually think that acting similarly to one past scumgame is a real tell, so this post was in essence a joke about kneejerk scumreading SS just because i saw him as scum recently.

It is extremely ironic that basically my whole thing is that I hate when mod meta is used to decide games but at the same time there's just a metric ton of players in this game who would be extremely well served by knowing that I personally despise the traitor mechanic (I thought kind of famously) and I would be very unlikely to put it in a game I mod.

people always fear a traitor in games these days its like the new boogeyman even though traitor isn't even that common

yeah, this game was the first time i learned anything about you as a mod.

also the rat claiming at the beginning was obviously accidental, but funny in hindsight.

we actually were convinced Farkran was our traitor for a while. i realized he was not when he started pushing Pooky, though.
we never paid much mind to a third faction/sk, just kind of hoped they wouldn't have a reason to target us.

when Norwee was eliminated (sorry Norwee, hindsight i would have gone all in to defend you) it felt pretty hopeless that we would be able to win, and then Pooky being eliminated also felt like a foregone conclusion though i planned to try and elim Flea. i was preparing to try and endgame and was worrying over my claim but... those rat bastards.

i appreciate mod intervention on these sorts of topics more than a mod seeing a behavior and just allowing it to continue with a shrug, though in this case it was more of a mild disagreement than bad behavior.

that said in a game of social manipulation i thoroughly believe one can't accuse someone else of gaslighting, considering convincing others your fake version of the truth is real is what playing scum requires.

that said i draw the line at the "anything goes as long as you win" mentality that leads both factions to purposely try and corner/manipulate each other emotionally so as to hurt them.

we all want to have fun, and we all want to win. being lied to is expected. though in this case it was multiball so no one had any way of knowing the truth about Titus's role.

Chara's progression across dayphases feels maybe like someone who checked if I was a dog and felt a little fascinated about being wrong.

Independent of that someone should check if it crumbed results since before kdowns claimed it would have considered its claim helpful/potentially clearing

I also disagree with a lot of the "oh its multiball so you can't seem too townie" stuff.

I think a lot of multiball is scum trying to crosskill scum so you're not that much more likely to die for seeming townie than any other game.

when we thought it was only two teams we were definitely trying to kill town. knowing there are more scum than we thought it's different.

i have zero experience with multiball though, maybe that was wrong.

i think it's a rat win.

i don't mind multiball but i have little idea of how to play it. i think Rats ended up having an edge just by virtue of being an unknown party. we were looking for Dogs and Dogs were looking for us.

that isn't to say the Rats haven't played well in being able to dodge eliminations. i was suspicious of Raya early but her play improved to me and then she didn't look like a dog so i figured she was town.

that's how it goes i guess. the towny actives get shot and the scummy actives get elimmed. and no one wants to elim the scummy lurkers.

i did have fun this game. i'd certainly do some things differently re: just letting Norwee die like that, but overall i'm at least happy with my play given the info we had to work with.

plus the miller flip was fun. it was very funny. sorry for town of course.

i assumed that the animal fakeclaims provided just ensured we wouldn't fakeclaim the same character as someone's real role, and not necessarily that there were none of the same type of animal in the game.
