On reread during night phase I was thinking that your questions often implied a scum read that would later disappear without explanation. (example being 317 -> 336)

I was also starting to read this as a scum slip (panic -> super poor example when there are better examples to be found) but now I'm thinking that I differentiate between sajj being defensive and sajj scumhunting and you're not, which wouldn't be nai

Maybe it would help to explain Sajj's reasoning a little further.

In 1297 you said that from sajj's pov, if ruru was scum her most likely partner would be you. As a result, you expected her to scum read you, and you were prepared to defend yourself, for the benefit of the rest of town.

This implies that her scum reading you might make other town members begin to scum read you. Sajj is saying that it also implies that you are afraid that she will be able to push a lynch onto ruru, and then after a green flip, a lynch onto you. Since you scum read her, she further asks if it is reasonable to suggest she is busing her partner in order to be able to push a mislynch onto you at a later day.

If you didn't think that was possible, then why spend the energy defending yourself?

Further, is it reasonable for anyone but scum to be so irrationally worried about Sajj's ability to push multiple lynches considering the current game state?

Sajj, please correct me if I'm misinterpreting you. I think these ideas are worth considering even if I'm not sure what I think yet. Also, no offense, it's hard to understand you sometimes but I'm getting better at it.

Also, there's a pretty decent chance that there is scum between you two (sajj and ofrhz), so if you are town, it would be a very pro town move to continue 1v1'ing for a little while longer.

You're both either fos'ing or scum reading one another, and this would be a great time to really work on a case.

(add to it that in my scumpartner pool for ruru I have never mentioned independend scumreads I have only excluded people that I believe are town and/or cannot be in team with ruru)

Oh I see what you were getting at now Scioness (thanks to both you and Oxy for being patient with me. In hindsight, I get that my op was confusing).

No my original post was to try and avoid a ruru mislynch. I think it's unconvincing to push for a ruru lynch without considering who she can be teamed with (people have since disagreed but I'm ignoring that for now). So like, say if someone wants to lynch ruru, I would ask them who ruru could be teamed with. And Scioness said it could be skitter, Oxy, or me.

If Scioness kept trying to push for a ruru lynch

, I would expect Scioness to start scumleaning me (or I guess nullreading would work too in hindsight), because Scioness needs to come up with a viable partner for ruru. (Does this part make sense at least?)

If ruru flips green, wouldn't that vindicate me??? I wasn't trying to avoid a lynch on me (today or tomorrow). I was trying to make people think more carefully before pushing a lynch on ruru because I think she's town with no viable scumpartners (I'm open to reconsidering this if anyone disagrees). That's why I was (am) defending myself - to make people think more critically about a ruru lynch.

No, I'm still townreading ruru, so I don't think Scioness was bussing ruru.

That's not what I meant. For me, scumslips are definitive. Somebody said something you believe they cannot know if town. So you either think it happened or you don't. No place for maybe.

When you say possible scumslip it's like saying 'hmm idk they may be scum' but that's basically shading.

If I remember correctly: vote late d1 - scumlean; unvote - townlean (corrected to null read), vote ruru becuase of wagon, d2 vote ruru.

I had ruru as town by PoE because I couldn’t think of a scum partner for her. I then went back to reread her because I think 3 people had ruru in their lynchpool, and like not all three of you can be scum. I summarized my thoughts in some spoiler thing directed at skitter. I’d be interested in your opinions on my ruru read- see if I have anything worthwhile. But yeah, Now I’m townreading her.

I do think scumhunting is better than defending yourself for town. I think Scioness has been really defensive every time she has come under even small scrutiny. More on that later once I have time to go back and find posts.

Nah, not really. I have been explaning things a lot but that's not defensive in most of the cases if not all.
