i'm town. you're placing a bizarrely high onus on me to do towny things. doing towny things early d1 is +survivalism and in this gamestate -sorting. so it's not valuable for me to do towny things early d1.
you're then attacking me for... not doing towny things with no wariness of what my motivation might be.

if you're town you probably need to reevaluate this read because you're policy tunnelling me; you don't seem to be reevaluating it and bungle is creating friction in the gamestate clearly-intentionally - and you're interpreting that as a scum driven activity?

so 2/3 scum in this game are... intentionally drawing as much attention to themselves as possible, without doing anything to look like they're towny, with the result of the gamestate advancing rapidly and neither of these alleged scumslots coming out of it looking tonwy?

About the whole Bingle/Skitter drama i just don’t know what to think. It could even be TvT for all i know, though if it’s SvT i’m leaning more on Bingle being scum.

FACTS AND LOGIC. not sure if that's town though. It reads more like "hey here's a silly case thats 100 percent correct and foolproof that I'm gonna present" except the case is silly and very little alignment indicative.

I’ll go back and respond to you properly when I’m not on my phone, but the crux of my issue is a lack of humility. Like when people vote you or suggest you’re bad you just straight OMGUS. That makes you deeply lack value as town (because your reads lack nuance or good logic) but also makes you hard to read as scum because it’s a scummy behaviour that you do as town.

This game there are currently people who are worse than you (see: duck) but it also means that you’re always going to be a good policy lynch because having you in the game doesn’t bring a lot of value to town and it’s hard to tell if you’re actually scum or just scummy

Then when you get feedback, instead of accepting it or considering it like “hmm, maybe my reads aren’t great/maybe there’s a reason I’m getting called bad” you just lash out or make AtE self-pity jokes.


Like if you’re finding that a lot of people vote you as a scapegoat maybe acknowledge there’s something about your play that makes that happen and work on fixing it.

man that's unnecessarily harsh. some people (me) just like playing the game and are not too at it., and there's nothing wrong about feeling frustrated at always getting scumread. you eventually learn to play your style via gut, which involves understanding which players are scum-reading you on good faith attempts, who is trying to pocket you etc., and that has its own set of values. Because if you do roll town, then you are a rod, and more likely its scum trying to manipulate the gamestate by mislynching you.

No, I very much am. I get my reads from understanding a players mindset. I can think someone is scum, recognize the chance that I’m wrong, and want actual logic to consider even if I’m not likely to buy it in the short term — I have yet to be in a game where I didn’t want to start from just about scratch D3

That’s mostly mena and skit, though I’ve played w tw a couple times. I think I’m off “newb-queue” meta, but remarkably on “non-newb” meta. I don’t know why they’re different, but they definitely are. The lever games (and here I’m including 13era) have a much different feel for me than the 9ers, and I never get the fluff/manga type posts that are more prevalent outside newb.
