I actively try to not eat a lynch as either alignment

I strongly believe that's bad for your winrate. There's a broad set of behaviors that put you at risk for mislynch when you roll town, but improve the odds of a win, and there's far fewer such behaviors as scum. I have a pretty high mislynch rate but a pretty good winrate in the subset of games where I was mislynched because I created a positive game state or could only be mislynched with bloody fingers involved.
If you recognize the the way mafia works, the moderator can post "Iconeum investigated Datisi night 0, he received a Guilty, there is a 95% chance Iconeum is a sane cop and a 5% chance Iconeum is a paranoid cop", nothing in the game precludes you from winning the entire game day 1 after that by finding both scum and persuading all players of it, it will improve your winrate because you'll be easier to read as town with the reduced stress and will also find scum or create an environment for finding scum more often
