I will straight up disregard all reason if you have a PR dream again. You can come back and be like, “I dreamt that Locke is a N2 Bulletproof Multitasking Cop and Self-Targeting Doctor,” and I will go, “Okay, Locke kill it is then.”

no

you would destroy a newbie power role player for no reason other then shenanigans
This is quite a fair point, that I hadn’t totally considered

But I also think that a newbie might have the forebearance to think “why is this player claiming this?” And to realise that masons is literally the worst claim to make as scum because it means you have to get to 5p lylo with your partner, without hitting a PR at night, and without anyone believing a real PR over you

So I would expect them to probe the claim, maybe be sceptical, but not necessarily immediately out as a CC

if any of the new players were a power role, they wouldn't know what to do

they'd have to either fish something like 'ehm guys should the actual pr counterclaim if there is one hahahah gettit hmm?'
or full blown counterclaim you resulting in this situation as well

there's not a lot of worlds where you achieve anything good from this
In post 274, Iconeum wrote:if ur actually town then this was out of place and lessons are hopefully learned

and ofcourse there's just a world where this is scum!you going for a big brain play
I think we disagree on how to approach a newbie

I’m here to have fun

People will fakeclaim in non-newbies, sometimes to the advantage of town, sometimes to its detriment

Newbies are here to learn, and the truth is that people do not play “by the book” very much at all. And doing so is a really easy way to get duped by scum who play “by the book”

Pretty sure that about 80% of the last few pages is just icon feeling like he needs to show the world he’s got a bigger one than me instead of actually taking a step back and looking at my play in which case he’d know that I’m incredibly obvtown rn and we could get on to working together to solve the game

i don't have much of an ego tho, especially on-site

and like i said, i think i was trying to solve the game prior to when you drew up all the attention with that fake claim

but now it's my fault and i have to take a step back? after i gave you the chance to back down from shenanigan play?

no

I believe it is unlikely that
Menalque
is
scum
based on the time between those first three posts and the claim. Having
Guilty Lion
as
scum
, in theory, should suggest that there was content to read at
scum PT
, so
Menalque
would need more time to convince his partner to agree with such a suicide plan like this.

The way it was executed, without delay, indicates that the
mason
situation immediately came to his mind in some way. Perhaps our game in common, perhaps some additional information - something that a
VT
would not have, or just a safe guess to not characterize a
CC
of the cop or doctor, if any.

I have difficulties to discriminate such event as a coefficient that justifies the scenario
scum!Mena
, because it implies that he would abandon the progression of his predecessor and would impose his own pace of play.

Theoretically, this movement would be more appropriate with the self-confident profile I expect from him, unless, of course, he is trying to perform something that I have not yet seen from him. But that would not explain the effort applied because it is a newbie game, where he would have other safer and more coherent means of winning as a
scum
.

Hi all,

I've skimmed through the thread, and to be honest I feel pretty lost. I've played a few online mafia/werewolf games at another site, but this is my first game here, and the terminology and abbreviations everyone is using here are foreign to me, so I'll take a while to adjust I imagine.

Looking at the setup notes, it doesn't look like it's possible to have masons and another flavor of power townie in the game at the same time, or am I misunderstanding the table?

Off to a meeting, but will get back to re-reading over lunch.

terms like: SSS, PoE, etc. and also how to read stuff like (term)!(term) -- I kinda guess based on the color coding, but not really sure how you're supposed to parse that. I think there were a few more things in the rules as I was skimming through them, but can't remember off the top of my head.

PoE: Process of Elimination
(term)!(term) is mostly meta related on how people are looking compared from one game to another.
SSS I am not sure about.

I think I'm getting a wrinkle from frowning at my screen every time I pick up my phone and try to sort this out in my head
