I feel like playing in games is much better than reading them
Because you get to firsthand experience all the stuff.
Whereas in reading a game you haven't played in before, you're generally more prone to bias and misinterpretation.
In addition, meta doesn't work well on people who have vastly different playstyles from game to game.

I disagree; in reading a game, you're able to see the results of the game first.
You can read games if you want to. It does help a little with understanding how the game works. However, I would avoid using old games that you haven't played in as a basis for forming reads.

i think marashu was kinda scummy for the way they were viewing my opening because if it was simply a new player thing why would they have an opinion on d1 claims. i liked the way generalwu talked about 1987 but i didn't like the way clidd talked about it. there doesn't seem to be a hard correlation between drawing attention to something that seems innocuous to me as a possible attempt at pocketing in the games i've read, but it seemed scummy here. datisi's style of asking questions in this game seems more about getting townread than gaining information, but i think that's nai.

clicking the spoiler first seems both less enjoyable and less useful of an exercise. if i decide i want to review it with full information based on how the game played out, i then read through it again.

yeah it all depends on how you read the game.
(even though sometimes you can probably figure out the results of a game just by looking at the number of posts. Like, if a game ends in 2 days, it's almost certainly a town win.)

although I still believe playing in a game is better than reading one, I kinda feel like debating about this is pointless because TRQ hasn't even made any arguments on people using meta.
So let's not waste any more time talking about it.

Based on the way this game is going, I'm pretty sure most people here aren't completely new to mafia.
So everyone here's had some sort of prior experience with mafia, right?

The time between my post 69 and General Wu's(70) reaction is 2 minutes.

Considering that she would have replied in 30 seconds, if she was already on the page when the post was sent (the distance would be lesser), I suppose she saw the post after 1 minute and a few seconds.

The answer was intuitive and it took something about 1 minute for her to assimilate what was written.

However, posts 81 and 82 showed that she had not absorbed the content properly, considering she was without an accompanying explanation.

So I am inclined to think that the process of reading, answering, analyzing the explanation and then rephrasing her opinion are characteristic of a

town mentality
