My family has a place in the Adirondacks that we visit sometimes in the summer ("cottage" is a very strong word, I prefer "rundown and probably haunted former hotel"). Normally we drive up there together but for whatever reason my mother had to stay back and come later, so I had to drive up and bring my brother and sister (meeting my aunt and uncle who were already there). My car at the time (this was a few years ago, the summer after my freshman year) had been a gift from a family friend who got a new car and gave me her old one, so it wasn't in excellent condition although it wasn't super beat-up or anything, but I also wasn't an experienced driver nor was I that experienced with the car itself. Anyway, the drive went fine until we were about five or ten minutes away at which point it started to make a bit of a weird sound, but I brushed it off as nothing. At that point I probably should have checked the engine temperature but it didn't even occur to me. Anyway when we came up to the driveway I went to turn to pull in and it just didn't want to turn, and then it didn't want to move at all, and then it started smelling really bad, and by then I was acutely aware that something was very wrong. We ended up having to push it out of the road into the shoulder and then get it towed to the garage down the road. Turns out the head gasket was busted, and I still don't remember what that is, but it's bad. It wasn't worth fixing. We didn't have anything else to do with the car, so we just left it there.

Ugh. "A place in the Adirondacks" is so vague. The story seems to have it die right before the driveway, though. Albuquerque is too far away from El Paso. Vash's Facebook in this era doesn't mention a girlfriend but he does have a friend who went to Brown. Again, though, the driving distance doesn't quite work.

Time to gamble.

I was worried about that one since I said last iteration I didn't drive. (I've also yet to have an in-person interview in Albuquerque despite considering jobs there.) Parts of the rest are true, though.

I was driving from my parents' house (north of Adelaide) to visit some relatives in Mildura. I was driving a Honda Civic from the late 80s. It wasn't just me driving, but I did drive the last section of the trip.

Eh, in that case you didn't drive a 3.5-hour drive, you drove 3.5 hours of a 4.5 hour drive. Not buying it.

Alright. I don't think N made the drive. I have seen N's refrigerator and it is fancy. Do I buy that he would have a fancy refrigerator and an old-ass microwave?

Vash said he "still doesn't know what to do with" the Hannity book. He just moved to a new state, though, and I imagine he wouldn't have taken the book with him. I have seen his oven and it's not that old.

I have seen Something_Smart's dishwasher and I know that okay fine I haven't seen his dishwasher but I wanted to keep the theme going.

I looked it up before posting! It's 3 hours 40 minutes from the area my parents live in to Mildura!

When have you seen my fridge?

Because "Once jumped into a pool with all of their clothes on" applied to more than one stranger, this identity has been adjusted to "Once jumped into a pool with all of their clothes on and has scraped their right arm from biking." Carry on!

Okay, so I'll do deep research but first I'm gonna split. Probably by taking 6 people and the top two I suspect them of being and making sure those are divided in half.

Mina I feel would be either MBTI or the cell phone thing so also gonna want to split those up.
pabs sounds like a dead ringer for playing dodgeball or the pool one
N I don't know too much, but jelly fish makes a lot of sense for an australian and Sucky Oranges given their identities have related to something strange or not strange they didn't realize
Jumble gives me vibes of the 98 but might be the puppy?
xof being either head cold or pizza feels right but I'm very prepared for that to be a complete whiff
And that leaves the police officer and dishwasher.

Let's
Split
it like this:
Pizza, MBTI, Exam, Dodgeball, Dishwasher, Jellyfish in one

The rest in the other.
