I never thought I would say this but I really don't believe in meta as a scum hunting tool anymore.

What Elli actually did was probably beyond meta, it was kinda...stalking without being pejorative.

Comparing games and drawing right conclusions is...harder than we would expect, maybe.

I feel most meta reads here were pretty shit, be it my one on jake or the town reads on Nero.

Recently I've not seen even one meta read done correctly and I would like to be proven wrong by any of you. (obvious meta like old creature etc doesn't count)

I feel like meta is way harder to get right than most people think and it's actually poisonous to the game when done wrong I guess.

Really? So you get to D4 and nobody can tell you apart from 3 scum? And the mislynchee has little fault in that? I guess we just disagree then.

unless the mislynchee is literally not saying anything and refusing to communicate. Yeah, i blame the mislyncher way more everytime. Mafia is about figuring out peoples mindsets/thoughts/etc if u fail to get into another persons mind. It shows lack of skill on ur part and u need to adapt and improve to get better. U can't rely on others being "easier to read" its like asking for a handicap in a competition. It shouldn't be easier just because u want it to be.

im just mad i didnt identify it for what it is, i feel like i was close at one point. but i also appreciate that i can seem scummy, so a town tunnel wasnt out of the question.

my biggest takeaway from this game is i need to trust myself and my reads more. that will come back to me as i play more games. i used to play quite a lot back in the early 2010s

I don't think its a hard 90/10. Maybe more like 70/30. Sometimes the lynchee's play is just so bad that it's a 30/70. lol But yeah, mosta the time its on the lyncher.

Thats because u think of urself as like the star player who carries a football team and then wonders "why can't my teammates just be good/ohhh they are all slackers" maybe u just have an innate skill of being townread and they don't. Maybe ur weakpoint is listenning to others minds.

also certain people in this game rubbed me the wrong way, there were times i was gonna say things in thread and i stopped myself, but i was still quite snarky and aggro at times. i need to try and reduce that because it makes people have a bad attitude towards me. i realize this is ironic after the last few pages, but i think that stuff is more justified than some of the stuff i posted in game. wil work on controlling my temper
