I also think his wagon is rather scummy, which makes me want to defend him.

I will say I have an issue with town reading people getting wagon’d. It’s hurt me in the past.

Embarrassingly, I have yet to identify which part of that interpretation was in error - enlighten me?
You said you bowed to my superior judgment on Flair and would sheep me. Seeing as you've changed your mind, I can only conclude that you were lying.
It does not require a particularly careful reading of my progression there (since I directly stated it) that I only departed from my Frederick vote because I wasn't getting sufficient support for it to mount a viable wagon.

It also does not require a very careful reading of the thread (because, again, I outright stated it) to see that multiple people immediately voted for Frederick afterwards - a significant change in circumstances!

You got me.

Can you please describe the scum motive behind me applying my vote consistently with my stated intentions, so that the rest of the Town can see how well you got me?
This explains why you jumped off Campbell and back onto Campbell but not why you jumped on Flair in the first place. So please answer the question again, less snark this time.

The objective here is to drive up a wagon and see who blinks first and for what reasons, like a game of chicken.
I had wool over my eyes when I first read this post of yours, Blair. However, now that I read it again, it still leaves the question unanswered, why did you even vote for Flair?

It wasn't just a play on words, the correct answer is the answer I gave: to drive up the prevailing wagon and analyze the effects of doing so on the thread.

In other words, I don't like leaving my vote out of play and, in the absence of a stronger scumread, I applied where I felt it would be most useful in generating meaningful content.

While we're on that portion of the thread, however:

Fred stop tunneling me. You are better off voting for someone who isn't being defended by all the good players (Firebringer, FL, Sakura, etc.).

Thinking some more I think half of the game is still just out of RVS, while the other half was active earlier and is a little further along. I'll give it some time before I treat this as a serious wagon.

Which begets the question -- why do you feel constrained between {Flair / Firebringer / Clair } ?
I misinterpreted the term "like" as being personal - that struck me as AtE. I accept you response that I was wrong. I felt constrained beforehand because I thought you were equally scummy. I no longer do. I currently think you'd be the best flip.

Why u ask?
Because I feel one of the -lairs hurt your feelings and you started intentionally trolling. You were making sense to me beforehand.
I didn't agree, but I could see you were trying.
This is an interesting theory but I'm not sure I buy it. Can you explain what about Firebringer made sense at first? Most of his early ISO looks like RVS and fluff until he starts sheeping/buddying ABR on Blair.
I feel my unwillingness to re-read his ISO proves your point. I recently felt his posts started to feel game-throwing, and I felt some positivity would encourage him to put some more thought into them.

  • Am I the only one who asks questions? Blair says I ask a laundry list of questions and no commentary - is this true? And, even if that were true, wouldn't you be able to rectify it by asking
    me
questions? I feel like no one wants to play with you unless they have the power to hammer you. This game is full of people who have no power IRL and so they crave it here. (How's that for [social] commentary? :P  )
    • Blair also says I'm tunneling her, but she was my first RVS vote and I haven't targeted her since.
  • Something is confusing me about Blair: If she was sitting on the information of her interpretation of my actions this whole time, why vote now? Nothing has changed except me asking her to clarify.
  • I also think that Blair's forgotten that I was already at L-1.
  • I don't know how NoPowerOverMe is categorizing me as "inactive". It's possible it's post count, but if you put all our posts in a word document, I have a higher wordcount. And that's not including my quotes.

ok, read the pages that appeared overnight. now feel like i have at least some kind of read on every player besides stanley, who is yet to exist.

.
FL, could you clarify what you mean by the bolded?

Firebringer's 'i'm going to effort post to convince you all to lynch Clair' and getting disillusioned with his own case halfway through feels real town to me. just don't see scum Fire bothering to put the effort in to do all of that when he's been getting away fine with coasting to this point.

on the subject of coasting, i'd had a gut town feel from gobbledygook before, but gave me bad vibes. does not feel like a question to try to figure out anyone's alignment. feels like a question to look like they're contributing and, as an added bonus, get some people to post about how town they are.
so i looked at their iso to try and figure out where my initial read came from, and found it to be incredibly lacking in substance. there's no effort to push anything, there's just a bunch of fairly meaningless questions with no follow up and the occasional random declaration that someone or other is town.

pop quiz everybody: without checking, can you tell me who gobbledygook is voting for right now? do you remember
any
of the votes gobbledygook has made in this game? if no,
why do you think that is?

Let's work backwards.

Who else do you think is most likely a villager?
Sakura is probably town based purely on the multiple strong meta reads suggesting that she is easily caught if scum. If she isn't town, she will sort easily by midgame, so she's a low priority for me today.

Flair looks town for what appears to be a genuine tunnel on Firebringer.

Firebringer is either town or will easily sort by midgame, due to the sheer magnitude of associations he is amassing.

iamausername seems genuine to me so far, but I definitely want more from this slot.
I'm starting to come around on Sakura without even interacting with her much.

FB I feel differently about but appreciate his persistence.

And iamuser my villager read has faded a bit. Don't dislike anything major but haven't found a huge impact.

In post 820, Flavor Leaf wrote:If that was a Flair vote on me, and Blair calls them town, 100% there is scum within the 2 of them, by the way.

I'm just posting to post. I havent seriously read the game in pages, but I'm trying to stay present so when I do catch up, I can piece things together. I dont generally participate much in mid Day 1.
This logic makes no sense.

Perhaps... I'm a villager who could be wrong, and Blair is a villager who finds me villager for a number of other reasons? How is that not a consideration? Why is one of us 100% wolf? Can you explain how you came to that conclusion?

And why haven't you seriously read the thread?

And i dont think anything they are posting seems to be something that would take 30 minutes, much less if they are an IRT interaction type of player.
I do appreciate this concern from you, Sakura.

I was busy interacting with others. Please don't take offense, it just is what it is. While I'm certainly trying to fill in the gaps, you are lower on my list of priorities than players I was interacting with at the time, like Blair and FB.

I don't think you're a wolf at the moment if it's any consolation.

This is especially rich coming from someone that hasn't read the game nor is taking it seriously.
