People voting elsewhere: Why should we lynch your candidate over Pug84?

There's no rush to lynch, surely?

Let Claus reread.

As for me, given Pug's near total lack of defence, I'm fairly happy with my vote.

Just wanted to let everyone know I'm keeping up with the thread. I'll get a reread in before deadline. The ease of the Pug wagon gives me a bit of concern. I will likely look specifically at voters on said wagon in the near future.

Don't like players (ie Alabaska) saying "I'll make a case tommorow." We have a vig in the game. He is currently slated to take a life off of you tonight. Don't you think that might be better used on this target of yours if you are town? Have a feeling your "derailing the lynch" worry is made up.

This cuts both ways. I agree with your criticisms of Alabaska, but that doesn't mean his question is invalid.

Why is Cyberbob a better lynch than Pug?

Twomz wrote:So you should have FoSed instead of voting and killing the wagon? So you wanted him to get quicklynched?
No, I meant that his actions, while I find them suspicious, probably did not warrant a vote at that time. I may have overreacted some since the vote was on me, so in that sense it was OMGUS, but I did find his actions legitimately scummy or I would not a voted for him.
M4yhem wrote:As for me, given Pug's near total lack of defence, I'm fairly happy with my vote.
What else is there for me to defend? I've already explained my vote several times. What else is there that you would like me to address?

Well, you don't seem to be doing much to stay alive, that's what I really mean. You're at Lynch -1 and doing nothing to save yourself. If I was in your place, I'd be trying to find someone else for people to vote for. I'd be fighting back. You're just kind of...sitting there.

Shafted has a point re. Alabaska. Alabaska, if you have a case, you should make it now. What if you get nightkilled? (Not likely, but possible)

Shafted- why are you worried at the speed of the Pug wagon when you weren't, as far as I remember, worried about the speed of any other wagons?

You know the deadline's coming, right? Don't you think that might explain it?

Indifference is neither a scum or town tell.

I'm not worried about the speed I'm worried about the ease. Scum should have a partner saying "wait guys what about X." Unless the player about to get lynched did something overtly scummy, it is not in there best interests to just sit back and take it, especially with the momentum Alabaska had previous to Pug. There really hasn't been much annunciation of a case. And if you are going the deadline route, I'd imagine more posts along the lines of "in order to avoid a no lych." I'm just getting a mislynch vibe from the Pug wagon.

NabNab and Cyberbob have both pushed other cases and weakly attacked me, the most vocal proponant of the Pugwagon. I'd say they're good candidates for partners.

You could also be trying to derail by saying 'it's moving too fast'.

Er what

I'm not saying "wait guys what about X", by the way - I've been pushing iamausername's case since long before Pug was a viable option. I still think he's a better candidate - in his grand total of 8 posts so far he's managed to go beyond a single line of text in 2 of them.

Don't make the mistake of confusing "he's a better candidate" with "omg guys what about him ignore pug go after HIM", by the way - I have in no way opposed the Pug wagon whatsoever. I agree with it, as a matter of fact; I would have thrown my vote on it were it not for my greater happiness with my vote on iamausername. I believe I've said this before?

Well, he's actively ignoring me now. I guess we'll never find out. That vote has been on you since fairly early in the game. He didn't give much of a justification at the time and hasn't followed up with any suspicion. Also, since I asked the question, he has posted and has not even addressed the question, as if it didn't exist.

The Pug wagon only started moving fast once we forced people to make a choice instead of doing random shit elsewhere.

Yes, you have said that before.

Since it is exactly what I would say if you were wagonning a buddy of mine, I don't believe you.

Kay.

Please also note my other point about having been on the iamausername wagon for longer than the Pug wagon has existed.

Also - going back to the bit you quoted again - you have failed to outline why it is not something a townie would not do.

Because I think you are scum and that it is in the town's best interests to lynch you today. I've already stated my support for the Pug wagon (before it went L-1 btw), but I think you are more likely to be scum
and
we have to get down to the business of killing you ASAP.

I know it probably appears as if I'm hiding my vote from the Pug wagon or trying to distract from it, but at this point, that wagon is at L-1, and lending any support to it would shut down discussion. I figured this wouldn't be the best thing to do considering how intent Hermit seemed to be in exploring me and how intent I am in hearing your case on me, and I suspect voting anybody else would elicit a similar accusations of hiding.

I see I misunderstood Nab's point slightly. Upon more careful consideration I'm in agreement with him; if Alabaska is scum, we need to kill him quickly. But that's only
if
he's scum. I'll do a quick re-read of Alabaska and see where he falls... though I remember approving of the wagon before but being unwilling to lynch him because of a lack of immediate information.

O jeez, I didn't even notice that addressed to me. It's just a remnant vote. I don't unvote if there is no need. I really am neutral on CyberBob ATM. Doing at the very least a re-skim and will hopefully have some new insights.

Note to Claus. If you absorb the Jailkeep ability in the night and the jailkeeper ends up dead, I think it may be best if you don't tell anyone that you received the power.
