What did you like about it?

Well, there's a lot of it. (You are free to think that's a silly reason)

Also it reads like a serious attempt at more-than-surface-level analysis, and I understand where most of it is coming from, and the pool he comes up with makes sense. I note there was already to some extent a wagon on RCE there but he ends up voting Snowblaze; given that RCE is in his pool, if he were just making it all up he'd have plenty of room to reorder those a bit and join in on that wagon, which says to me he's not doing that (except maybe if RCE is actually his buddy, but at that point I'm just making up stories about how Holden could possibly be scum)

Oh, I kinda forgot but I just glanced at their ISOs again and I think with ydrasse it was that her 182 felt a bit over explainy in her vote on me but the vote itself also felt like it was coming at a point where scum might decide to start gently supporting the scumclaim wagon

Snow’s first post just seemed really fake I think? Like super hedging on multiple slots and things and I tend to think town would come down a bit harder on ~*something*~

Plus just a lack of townreading either of them from their early posts, and their general absence fitting with my sense that scum were being passive

i trust whatever fredrick is doing right now with his voting methods. they're all over the place but it inspires joy.

menalque's efforts to provide cpr to this sluggish game also inspire joy.

i don't like either of the main wagons right now. rce kind of feels like the inevitable "yeah we can all throw our votes here for the sake of a wagon" vote without anyone like... thinking too hard about it. also it feels at odds with the idea that there's a lot of lurking scum which has been tossed around quite a bit. i get not wanting to vote on slots that don't have a lot of content/none at all but meh. i feel that the votes on holden have the potential to be people trying to follow up with this idea of coasting/inactive/etc etc scum while trying to get rid of a fairly towny voice under this premise? idk.

Overall kind of like this post; not sure I feel as inspired as Ydrasse by Fredrick's play but I can overlook that part. Agreed on Menalque, and also she's putting into words how I've felt about the RCE wagon (which was roughly "it's not that I explicitly think RCE is town, but... why?")

These posts looked like they were "maybe" a slip. Like 2 scums talking in their PT and deciding to hit the main thread and one assumes the other beat them to posting and the other tries to cover it by turning it into a joke (crazy, I know.. but that's why they call me MONKEY). Even post #23 looked a bit odd of sorts under that assumption, but as soon as it was RCE in Porkens shoes all my illusions evaporated.

I do think so, yes. There is clear motivation for scum to use dumbtells: "I don't know this crucial piece of information and/or I am very disoriented, therefore I can't be scum." I'm accusing Mohab of exactly that, because is it really likely for someone to think there were power roles in this game when the setup is on the first page, and they had to have seen it when they were signing up? And furthermore, why do they need to ask this question in thread other than to show people they don't know this piece of information? It isn't even helpful for solving.

I dunno where you got the idea that scum could have been allowed to kill scum. It's VERY rare for a mod to allow scum to kill their partners, and its usually in a "special setup" (I seem to recall one Open Setup that does) so maybe that's where you got the idea, but I can confirm I have never thought of it tbh.

I hadn't thought of it but I would say the only reason this is not allowed in typical setups is because it is normally blatantly against wincon, not because of something inherently Wrong about it.

RCEngima tried to give the impression he didn't want scum to realise they could kill each other if they hadn't already, and asked a question privately to the mod
but if that's the case, he shouldn't be making that post in the first place since it could possibly alert scum that they can kill each other

This on the other hand is a good point. Asking publicly because it didn't occur to you it could be anti-town makes sense; asking privately and saying nothing about it makes sense; asking privately and then saying publicly that you did so is strange.

Possibly against the spirit of the game, but Porken’s replace out being very scum indicative lingers in my mind...

I would think this is the most likely scenario where RCE is scum, yes. Though come to think of it (maybe this is too much metagaming but I'm going to say it anyway if it affects how we read RCE), if I were mod and someone asked a question like that in the scum PT I would immediately update the rules and then post saying I had done so.

I see some familiar faces. Haven't played with holden or Umlaut in a looooong time.

I've read through three or so pages and it looks like I repped into the towniest slot. Raya is a close second and holden a distant-er? Third.

I have to say it would take some chutzpah for scum to replace into a slot like Porkens' which has already picked up some shade and instantly proclaim it the towniest slot in the game. I'd expect them to try a bit harder to read the room on that.

I had a problem with the snow wagon but I don't remember what it was and the lack of defense is meh. There are a few people I think might have scumtold but it's mostly comparing to things I've done/said in past scum games.
