I thought she was saying we shouldn't kill her because mastina/her were destined to solve each other in a couple of days, therefore we should take her as town for now. Which to be fair, I am not opposed to strategies like that especially when it's d1/d2 of a huge game. But the delivery ("I'm town. Deal with it.") just looked bad

I have no opinion on the potential up/downsides of eliminating Mastina as I have no prior experience with her. However, I feel like with the amount she seems like she'll be efforting, we will be able to make a well-informed guess at her alignment in the future.

I don't know where you got the impression I think she's scum? I don't have any strong view on that. Apparently we just have had very different experiences of Mastina-town, leading us to opposite conclusions about what to do with her on Day 1. i've never seen her as scum, but i don't think her being a competent scum player would be a good argument not to flip her early. either of your proposed scenarios for you being scum is possible from my pov, i'm not sure what other elaboration you want?
