i think i'll probably get a better read on skitter when she's not reacting to my scumread on her, i don't love her responses but there is a feeling that my own expectations are misaligned with how town skitter actually behaves + i think it's natural to have a negative opinion of a player with a wrong scumread of you

Ok yeah skitts asks FL for his read on her, and they have an exchange about the serenity of the current gamestate, and then she initiates more talk on FL's draft speculation around her i think

i dont think it's unfair to note she interacts with FL a lot, i can already see she initiated at least 3 interactions one of which was literally asking for his read on her. I don't really mind it too much but i dont think this is a misrep by Chara

The exact wording was that "how much [skitter]'s been focusing on FL so far" was "bugging" Chara which felt like it was magnifying that small section of her interacting with him and attributing disproportionate importance to it, like it was looking for something to zoom in on and call suspect rather than taking a broader view

actually i might be ready to call skitter townish, i think going from being uncomfortable with me after our interaction to then worrying about Tweet and i being scum together speaks towards the kind of kneejerk paranoia read town would have (at least it's a feeling i often experience as town), more than something scum would be comfortable floating.

This is a small thing, but putting early doubt on the miller claim with 67, I feel like when there is an early negative utility claim (e.g. miller, ascetic), scum try to put doubt on it because they don't want someone getting a townpass off a claim.

So, I felt like the townread on me in 76 was a bit premature, and when I asked him about it, he just reversed it in 89, I didn't really get what was going on there, and the explanation in 98 didn't really clear things up. I also think the rabbit hole he's going down of speculating on roles that work bassed on player list positioning there and in 122 feels like the sort of baseless spec a scum player might slip into to give the appearance of producing content without doing actual solving because it doesn't go anywhere.

The "don't kill me n1" comment in 79 is a bit performative too, I'm not sure why he'd ever expect to get nightkilled n1 particularly when he's remarking on how amazing the playerlist is. Feels more like something someone attempting to towntell says than a real thought.

Response to skitter in 150 looks kind of gut towny on tone, though.

After that breaks into filler talk for a while. I don't understand the Ydrasse read in 550 (to me nothing she's done leaves an impression), or how me being sassy equates to me being probably town. Other posts are meh. I could see this as scum on a gut level in that his posts are "off" but I probably couldn't make a real case on him.

Perhaps. I don't think focusing on a small portion of someone's play is inherently bad, that happens a lot. if you look at everyone who interacts with FL and compare, i assume skitts is probably in the top 20% for example, so just because it's a small part of her play, it's pretty significant compared to others, so you could realistically say that skitts has been focusing on FL

However yeah, i also dont think there's anything significant about it, so it could come off like something you try and find to throw onto a read to make it seem fuller. Enh. I should say things that are more helpful than maybe scummy BUT MAYBE NOT??

That is a fair observation to make, it seems like something you would want to be more conscious of as scum, although not a huge thing

interesting that they both sort of show being confirm biased (at least a little in my opinion) when skitts starts pairing me with Chara, finds pretty much everything Chara posts scummy, and Chara points out extra things it finds makes skitts scummy (interacting with FL). I think probably for skitts at least i think it's sort of towny that she continuously found everything Chara said scummy even though i didnt really like the initial reason.

It is possible that scum!Chara was making things up to add onto its vote onto skitts to make it seem more real -- perhaps it didn't really notice the skitts/FL stuff and made that up upon reviewing. I can follow that idea because i hadn't really paid attention to those posts as they were made. I went back and reviewed though, skitts did make those posts in the middle of Chara/skitts' interactions, so i can buy Chara having paid attention to them. Had they occured before their interactions, i prolly would have found it a lot less believable. So enh moving on

I am a little surprised that I not only overturned Chara's ping on me, but also put it squarely in my pocket too in one fell swoop. i am curious where "scumread was wrong" turned into "town" for it

So tl;dr I'll think about it more but am starting to think the interaction is either Chara scum or both town
