Just thought it'd be funny to point that out.

Do you?In post 4495, Andresvmb wrote:Actually I’m starting to think Norwegian has a point. The reason the Vig is not outting is because they completely ruined the Scum plan and would get immediately shot by them at Night.
If my theory about Hayker holds up, basically all of the Scum are not on the Hayker/Not_Mafia wagons here. And that would be plenty catastrophic for Scum. I can see why there was so much insistence by certain players not to get near it.In post 1454, Mizzytastic wrote:etymonline.org wrote:compete (v.)
1610s, " to enter or be put in rivalry with," from Frenchcompéter"be in rivalry with" (14c.), or directly from Late Latincompetere"strive in common, strive after something in company with or together," in classical Latin "to meet or come together; agree or coincide; to be qualified," fromcom"with, together" (see ) +petere"to strive, seek, fall upon, rush at, attack" (from PIE root "to rush, to fly").
According to OED, rare 17c., revived from late 18c. in sense "to strive (alongside another) for the attainment of something" and regarded early 19c. in Britain as a Scottish or American word. Market sense is from 1840s (perhaps a back-formation fromcompetition); athletics sense attested by 1857. Intransitive use is by 1974. Related:Competed; competing.
After Hayker had gathered a lot of momentum and was starting to seem inevitable, chkflip voted there. But at the first sign that Nero was a viable wagon (after showing some skepticism towards it), chkflip swings away from it after votes from Norwegian and Gamma. We know Gamma is Town, and I’m starting to think that Scum probably doesn’t want to rock the boat that hard since the deadline is approaching and swinging the vote towards Town at that stage probably produces too many associatives, dooming the entire Team.
