It's basically a formality/something to do while people are confirming. I'm sure the designers intended for it to never actually pass.

And I think it's a good thing, because while launching lots of nukes is +town, forcing people to actually sit down and think about the game before they do it is also +town. (Which, incidentally, is why I hate this mastina flashwagon, regardless of my own read on her.)

Also, this feels like a good juncture to say: try very hard to not recall your nukes. If a claim would make you want to recall it, ask for the claim before you fire it. If someone goes incredibly obvtown after getting nuked, then it's justified, but make sure plenty of people agree with you that the reaction was obvtown. Otherwise you're just sacrificing town-controlled kills.

And I think it's a good thing, because while launching lots of nukes is +town

I think it's an easy way to kill a lot of people with minimal groundwork established, allowing mafia aligned silos to get a few shots off before needing to defend the shot.

By the time nukes are fireable by going through D3 and D2, accountability will be a thing and scum with nukes will be less likely to fire with out properly pretensing their shots.

My 2 cents.
