Dotw and rider . Rider seemed like they were role fishing if I had a gun with two bullets I would shoot dotw and rider.

Breaking strategy has already been outed and invalidated, but it did exist.

If the question is whether we could maybe break the setup based on roles, we'd have to massclaim to find out and without getting super into numbers which frankly I don't have time for atm I don't think it's likely enough to justify doing so.

Miller types and 3rd party statuses are the only things that should be claiming short of a full massclaim, which is literally throwing the game into the air and seeing what side lands on top.

I don't think this would've worked for people like me that fudged their alignment roll. But I imagine I was in the minority there

So you fudged dice one intesing . Since it was fudged could you tell us what it was before hand. And this isn't role fishing since dice one decied if you were town or not dice two is role fishing. I'm asking about dice one and I don't want to know what it was fudged to. Just what it was before you fudged it.

As a sigh of faith my 1st dice was 2. Yea I know it sucks I could have rolled anything 1 though 20 but I got a 2. So I thought what was the point if I went up it wouldn't change my alligement and if I went down it would have just been some kind of 3dr party.

I rolled all 3 of my dice in one tag. How would I demonstrate my alignment without revealing a substantial amount of my role?

So your saying your d4 dice was a 3 thank you for at least playing along. And what are your thoughts on a d3 mass claim?

I don't think faking alignment dice is too hard, scum must be totally incompetent to unable do that, and if so, i think we should find them anyway.

In post 174, Bingle wrote: If someone is obviously cult, we don't really need to deal with them on D1 as town because they are a bigger threat to groupscum than the townies are.
I have done some thinking and concluded that these are blatant lies.
The cult's strength is their alignment changing ability. This does NOT affect scum, who know who their teammates are and CANNOT be converted unless their teammates are dead.
The cult is a major threat to the town, who don't know who their teammates are. Townreads have to be re-evaluated after every night because the cult will convert obvious townies. Information from before that night is no longer valid for townreading people.

The only person who benefits from keeping the cult around is scum, because the town has to deal with an enemy who makes it impossible to eliminate people from the scumpool. VOTE: Bingle

Cult is danger for everyone imo, it's like rabbits replicating at impressive temps. Issue is, it's almost impossible to hunt lone cult leader, especially d1 so probably should't even bother.

Idk if scum motivated enough to keep cult alive.

The cult's strength is that they have a faster “turns til endgame” clock than any other faction.
FTFY. You know who really dislikes getting endgamed? Mafia. It’s kind of why when balancing multi ball the scum teams are treated as though they oppose each other. Cult leader has all of the potential power of a town player and the additional ability to win the game over scum’s head.

From a scum perspective, the biggest threats are, in order: Cult, other groups of scum, solo scum, town, neutral third parties. Neutral third parties, of course, balancing as a guaranteed miselimination.

It wouldn’t. But you don’t need to confirm every towny for it to be a breaking strategy, just enough to drastically shift the balance of the game. Regardless, it won’t work for anyone now.
