Boy, this is a close election.
Right now, I have ABR (9), CML (8), TM (3), and 2 no votes. Looks like the TM voters will be the swing votes (as of right now, unless there is a rapid flight to someone else).

It was right about this time on Day one that someone wedged in a faux cop claim and forced the swing. Not sure it will swing without them...

To the people not voting ABR right now - do you honestly believe he's not Mafia aligned?

I believe he is for the following reasons.

He made a decently powerful role-claim on Day One and is still alive after the night phase. As far as the write up is concerned, he wasn't protected so he wasn't targetted either. Living through the night after a roleclaim like that and not dying is - in my opinion - a big tell.

I wasn't keen when I thought he was claiming the Cid flavour. But he himself has retracted, then repeated and retracted that claim again a few times now, throwing it completely in doubt to my mind.

If he is town, then he's a townie that has already engineered the lynch of a fellow townie and has only contributed confusion to day two. That's not a pro-town play style in my opinion, and it wouldn't be missed.

If he's Mafia, which I think is very likely, then we're looking at a lot of leads from the players who have been standing up for this meta of his since day two began.

Uh, explain? How do you know/infer this? He ASKED for night protection at the end of D1 (maybe jokingly, but still).

I engineered the lynch of a stupid fuck who was most probably scum and going to cost us 2 lynches anyway.

Might be newbish naivety but I'd have thought it would have been in the write up - I'm learning games get played rather differently here than where I'm used to though - so I could be wrong.

I've never seen non-kill night actions reported by mods in-game (except after the end, anyway).

So you think the scum group we have knows they are the only scum group that are active? I don't buy that. there's room for self aligned players and more than one mafia group that could have returned a guilty on investigation and I think he'd have snuffed it simply for claiming the name Cid, anyway.

My mistake then - over at ew it's been kinda common place to find a spot in the flavour to show someone trying to investigate or protect. They don't reveal the roles or anything - they just show that someone actually carried out an invesitgation or saved someones life.

Well, why would anyone protect him after he clearly lied about his day-cop result? Also, if he's town, I'm pretty sure scum would try to keep him around as a lynch target today.
That said, I still think that he's probably alive because he's scum.

In retrospect, he might have gotten protection simply for his Cid claim, as you said, which is, as we are learning now, separate from his ability claim.

I like how everyone is forgetting that the base assumption of xtoxm should have been he was scum based on the lying about an investigation. Not that he was town.
