My mafia vacation was nice while it lasted, will be around tomorrow.

Still think Dwlee. Busy with several towngames previously, yesterday seemed to just be stalling out hoping town would randomly flip around. Flips on IV read were very random and not elaborated on.

Dunnstral has nothing hard town to him but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ welcome to playing with Dunnstral

While possible I think Dragons bussing yesterday is a huge ????????? snatch defeat from jaws of victory moment.

Fire thinks it’s Dunnstral.
I have no strong opinion yet. But i will give my thoughts once i finally sit down and analyze IV’s play.

On day 2 Dwlee said the reason to vote in the group of 3 was that most people thought mc esther was mafia and that if innocentvillager was mafia, then, and I quote, "the entire game changes".

When asked about the specifics to that claim, they refused to elaborate, only stating that isos would still be available

Well, I don't see any indication that Dwlee has looked over the isos or reconsidered anything at all. So I ask again: how has eliminating innocent villager helped us, and why was Dwlee averse to voting in the group of 6 yesterday?

It actually does help — firebringer's thing about you thinking you told IV something when you hadn't in thread seems even more legit w/ IV flipping scum.
I prefer they, thanks :)

Fire is saying that I made a reads list in the mafia thread. No, that isn't a good argument.

I think Dunnstral's fixation on me saying that IV's flip will give us info indicates he's scum but I can't articulate why it makes me think that

It's like he wants the cred for voting there but wants to shade me?

I wanted to vote in the 3 because 1.) Better odds of winning 2.) Confirmed scum flip going into ELO. This fluctuated depending on my read confidence but I don't see how you can spin me saying that IV flipping scum would be a big deal as scummy
I prefer they, thanks :)

Pretty busy the next few days. Half of me wants to YOLO but the other half of me says finish strong and do it right since this'll be my last game for awhile. I'm super burnt out and the spare time I had today I just spent playing BotW instead.

Anyone reread IV ISO to see what he spewed?

Dwlee can you actually track through how your read on IV progressed over time?

You put BoP on yourself to start, called him town, and then flipped because of esther not hammering something. I've just got whataboutism and a nebulous "We'd act different" in return every time I have brought this up.

I don't think what Dunnstral points out is the critical point for me. It's just a broad statement of the game that didn't have too much thought behind it (otherwise you would have gone indepth). Yeah, the game literally changes if a player flips scum, but what was your the cognition behind the idea there?

Tracking through the context again it's just an argument about why flipping in 3 is better. Dunnstral did it to get you to get the wheels turning to why voting in 6 is better.

Not really sold it's the best point but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

My read on IV was like "okay he seems townie" and then kinda just vibing there. And then I did that big wall, found the slimy post, had an oh shit moment, but then promptly got distracted by a shiny esther.

Yea I think we'd act differently. Compare how we played together in the game I linked earlier and how we interacted here. Yea we could have switched it up specifically for this argument cause WIFOM etc. etc. but also it should give you pause to think this is how I'd act with a buddy.

My cognition was that the entire game seemed to agree that Esther was scum. Puppies was preflipping off of it. Etc. And I was thinking hey, we shouldn't preflip like this because if we confirm the preflip it doesn't hurt our odds of winning, so we should try to confirm the preflip instead of just using it.
I prefer they, thanks :)

There was this game I once played as scum where I night killed people that townread me + scumread another like 3 or 4 nights in a row.

And then in ELO the person votes me and I'm like "look at what every person who night killed said" and won

Good times
I prefer they, thanks :)

I don't think that Brighter Puppies preflipped anything until after Dwlee had already made their arguments for eliminating in the small group. Meaning the reasoning at the end of 1366 cannot be correct.

In post 654, Dwlee99 wrote:Well rn everyone is operating on assumption MC Esther is scum right

And I think that assumption also plays into people's reads of her interactions with people in the big group to solve

If we confirm the assumption it doesn't hurt our odds of hitting scum in the big group

If it actually is IV I think the entire game changes
If I'm wrong, then by all means, quote a post before 654 where Brighter Puppies preflips anything.

So you don't have an answer for what prism wrote?
In post 1360, Prism wrote:Yeah, the game literally changes if a player flips scum, but what was your the cognition behind the idea there?
Your response is now:
In post 1366, Dwlee99 wrote:My cognition was that the entire game seemed to agree that Esther was scum.
Puppies was preflipping off of it. Etc. And I was thinking hey, we shouldn't preflip like this because if we confirm the preflip it doesn't hurt our odds of winning, so we should try to confirm the preflip instead of just using it.
In addition to being wrong about Puppes preflipping at the time, nobody else was preflipping anything, either. So you saying you had a concern about preflipping is based off of nothing.

I glanced through the Chain of Command game overnight and did not find it convincing.

I think the circumstances of this game substantially differ, as has your own schedule and how much time you could commit to this game early.
