how on earth are they trying to persuade Crescent, an obviously hesitant voter, to start a wagon on Toffee with this bare minimum effort???

Ok this one part does stick out because like 4 people have done this with me today. BBT does it at the same time Gibus does!

I even remarked at just how weird it felt at the time.


The argument in general... Isn't great, actually. The response is comical. The interesting thing I had noted about Elsa, the "easy answer" I alluded to that I wouldn't hand before:


#1302 is the first time he mentions Elsa the entire second day, but he only ever builds more of an argument on her in #1380 and #1535. The town potential here is he was still working out an argument against her, much like I did. I could see town here not jumping on the vote so soon.

Then #1587 just looks.. Bad no matter how you look at it. Half of the post says nothing or is simply a poor explanation, the other half is shading for a weird reason or rehash. I do think Toffee's vote on Gibus was rushed (as were all of Toffee's votes), but he's also ignoring that Alex was on Toffee with him but realized the vote just wasn't going anywhere. It feels like a disconnect from both the game and the sense that he was actually building up on Elsa. The vote itself just came out flat.

Normal Guidelines
Combined is a modifier under Normal Game guidelines used to clarify the usage for players with multiple roles. A Combined role necessarily performs all of its constituent actions on the single player it targets each night.

That claim isn't on this list. Aren't normal roles standardized?

Actually your interpretation seems wrong anyway.

From what it looks like, Checker only Checks

itself

to see if it was roleblocked when committing another action. It doesn't look like an action that's specifically relevant on another player. It specifically says the Checker provides no useful information about the target.

And that's precisely why I wanted him to answer. I wanted to see if he'd get lazy and treat Checker like a role that actually has a relevant effect on it's target because it would indicate he was lying if he did.

Don't feed people who are claiming information about their claim. You make them give the information themselves.

Also Gibus is very much indicating scum has a roleblocker with his claim. If we assume there's just 2 scum and the traitor, it makes sense that scum would have more power on it. I actually still have no idea if the assumption is 2+1 or 3+1. Though.... 4 scum in 13 with vig would have the possibility of ending REALLY fast. You could be at lylo on day 2! So I guess 2+1 with some high powered scum makes sense, hence his indication that scum has a roleblocker with his claim also makes sense of a sort.

The early Elsa train on day 1 was probably right... And the votes were Gibus, Eira, and... A third person I don't remember offhand. Alex?

Just giving it a moment of actual thought there, balance wise it actually has to be. You can't have any possibility of a day 2 lylo in a 13 player game. No one should approve such a setup after review.

I would say I echo this sentiment. I'm less on the "automatically give BBT a night" as I was before, though.

This feels like a "scum was blindsided by this claim" kind of moment. Anyways, Elsa's wagon (the 3 of us if Gibus comes back) is almost certainly clean, and Gibus either has 2 scum on him or Gibus/Vivax is split 1/1. No way is this Gibus train pure. I feel like scum's been fighting for this train all day.
