Alright, time to scumhunt. This game is going pretty damn fast but I do have some questions for various players.

Claus, you dropped a vote on Sajin for "active lurking" very early on, back on page 5 I believe...was active lurking all there was to that case? Did you foresee the wagon growing like it did?

Zwet, you jumped from a millar lynch to a Sajin lynch back to a millar lynch back to a Sajin lynch...all in the space of one page. Why?

elvis_knits, you attacked Sajin quite hard yesterday. Why aren't you continuing these attacks? what changed your mind?

Sajin, you made a lot of comments concerning game balance during day 1...what exactly made you say these statements? You do realize these discussions are rolefishing, right?

DGB, what exactly are the criteria for your town list? Who is on the list?

Claus, you ask a lot of questions. Yet, I don't think I've seen you analyze the answers...what point do the questions serve?

I voted for elvis based on gut. Something about her posts was seriously off. I think I find it odd that other players, not elvis herself, are responding and attacking to that vote however.

I would like to think that the weird soft-claiming confirming weird-shit people would be scum but there's too many of them being too obvious about it to make them scum though I sure would like to know what the hell is going on.
Why was Sajin evidently scum when you first voted him?
- Why did you say that you thought he was scum, but wouldn't hammer, later? (specially the "wouldn't hammer" part)
- How is your scumhunting today, found anyone interesting?
1. Take a look back. Watch him rolefish and implicate another player as scum using information that scum would know. Not to mention misrep camn like crazy.

2. I dislike quick hammers. I like controlled lynches, not crazy out-of-control bandwagons. I dislike bandwagons that form over short periods of time as town and scum.

3. I think DGB and the weird crazy shit is certainly interesting...DGB is ticking my scumdar as she is acting like she did during MS3 and WH2...attempting to bullshit the town into acting in an irrational manner.

I really think that DGB is scum, not only for the reasons that Claus stated, but for meta reasons and just bad, bad vibes from her. I've played with DGB and a lot and can read her fairly well...this is not town behavior.

NO.

Read the flavor again.

Claus wrote: And about NK, just think about the following:
There WAS a night 0. If we would lose the game by having nasubi NK'ed, scum would have a higher than 10% chance of winning the game outright on night zero. Even if nasubi was somehow immune to NK's on night 0. The lack of an NK would tell the scum that they had hit gold, and they would simply try it again on N1. So no, I'm pretty confident in saying that NK'ing the nasubi player will NOT end the game.
I have a problem with this. If Nasubi is unNKable, then why hasn't Nasubi claimed? There is something else here that we don't know and we still have to keep that possibility on the table. I won't take the risk of just forgoing the possibility that one NK can lead to very serious consequences. We have to save Nasubi.
Claus wrote: That is the thing, though, tenchi: By discussing but not really discussing this things, the town is not scumhunting. No one is analyzing voting patterns, re-reading the thread for warrantless bandwagon, or making questions about the vote. Everyone is just worried about finding nasubi without saying it too loud.
Ok I get your point. But nobody is stopping you from doing that. What I'm telling you is that DGBs approach complements scum hunting in general. Also, I am suspicious of you shooting down the idea of not thinking about Nasubi in terms of how we talk and how we lynch.
Claus wrote: Who do you think is scum? Why? These are the questions I think the town should be discussing now, and no one really is. This will cost us the game, not the amount of rampant nasubi speculation.

I have two suspects right now: You and Seraphim.

And that is what I did on my big post. Did you read it? It was before all this nasubi-discussion began. What did you think of the cases posted there?

Tenchi wrote: I have two suspects right now: You and Seraphim.
Very well, and what leads you to suspect me, other than I disagree with you about game strategy?

Sorry Seraph, too much going on at the same time.
Seraphim wrote: Claus, you dropped a vote on Sajin for "active lurking" very early on, back on page 5 I believe...

? Did you foresee the wagon growing like it did?
Yeah. It was a non-random, not really that strong vote on someone who was posting trivialities while there was already stuff to discuss about (my definition of active lurking). In other words - an early game case.

When I went to sleep, I was the only one voting Sajin, and Zwet had refused to join me in. When I woke up, it was after the fake hammer. I did not expect to see the wagon grow that fast (2 hours!).
Claus, you ask a lot of questions. Yet, I don't think I've seen you analyze the answers...what point do the questions serve?
1- Most people seem to have ignored my questions so far.
2- I play a lot by making cases after full re-reads (not a very time-efficient way) - the questions give me more info when I re-read.
3- Sometimes I make questions to players not because I want to know something, but because I want them to follow a train of thought that I think they may be currently missing.
4- Is there any answer/question you would like my current opinion about?
I would like to think that the weird soft-claiming confirming weird-shit people would be scum but there's too many of them being too obvious about it to make them scum though I sure would like to know what the hell is going on.
My guess is - there are both scum and town doing it.
1. Take a look back. Watch him rolefish and implicate another player as scum using information that scum would know. Not to mention misrep camn like crazy.
I will. But I don't really see the Camn misrep. It seems like two people butting heads regarding semantics, and neither willing to admit that the other side might have a point.

Well, I didn't like it. Sajin's quickwagon makes me think he's not scum...but that's not 100% and I'm definitely still paying attention to him. I am also paying attention to camn.

Or maybe I was trying to hint that I have the same role PM as you and miller did.

But since you decided to be open about it, let's be open about it. I'm a Natto Distributor, and nowhere in my role PM it says that Nasubi may die of starvation if I do not find him. As far as I can tell, from what I read in my PM (and I re-read it a few times during this discussion), we're little more than Nasubi-cops.

By "camn misrep", I meant "Zwet Misrepping Camn". He did misrep her, but not in a way that seemed terribly scummy.
