Yeah, that's what mine is too. I think we have to just deal with it, though annoying.

Are you only talking about the gaps in the button row? If so, I can look at it.

Also the drop down boxes don't work for me. I guess I expected it to look like when you start a thread, but there's a lot fewer options that work for the notes. (granted having a poll or something similar would probably be pointless). Also, there are no smilies on the left (though there is the link where it pops up in a new window).

Smilies were removed on purpose. As for the others, I'd need to know the details.

Do the drop down boxes not work, or is the text just not visible?

Also, actually clicking on the buttons for the tags (bold, italics, quote, etc.) doesn't do anything. Same with the drop down menus, there is just blank spaces and nothing happens if you click them.

I also can't [quote="whatever"], only just [quote]. Not sure if the code tag works, I don't use it with the notes.

Yeah, notes only support a limited subset of tags. What browser/OS are you using?

Haha, Mozilla 1.5.07. Windows XP.

I didn't realize this affected anything. Perhaps it's time to get with the times.

Actually, it's busted for me in Windows XP and FF 3.0.10 too. I don't remember the last time those buttons worked for me, but I use Notes less and less lately since Google Docs came into effect.
