^I don't like this at all. Why are you trying to direct res. kittage? Surely its up to people to decide who to res themselves? I assume you're still thinking Ben is targetting you, but even so, res-kit townies ought to decide themselves who is worthy of a kit.

And you do also realise that cult can Ward you to prevent your ward from working, and you don't get told if your ward failed, right? And if someone res's you, you won't know if the noise you heard came from cult warding you. Essentially we've lost all faith in the success of your ward, making it a pointless night action for you to now take. You'll have to come up with something else.

Anyway, the above piqued my interest, and so I looked at you in ISO...I noticed that you:
(a) tried to set-up subsequent lynch targets in the event of an RC-town flip (in the same post that you voted for him)
(b) voted for what you claimed was dead-stone murderer-Benmage over your cult-suspect(s)
(c) said you'd advocate the Ben-murder-Fate plan if you had a res kit...and it seemed to suggest you'd advocate it today (ISO #30). If Ben revealed his target and it wasn't you, would you still go for it?
(d) said Hito was scum, and you'd go after him "tomorrow" - what happened to that?
(e) earlier asked for TWO res'es. You even claimed to KNOW you were being targeted by the cult.
(f) faff about Ben, saying he has to claim his target, no he doesn't, yes he does, no he doesn't
(g) say the Benmage-could-be-cult argument is a damn good point (ISO #67) and then say it's awfully convoluted (ISO #75)

All in all, I'm getting a definite scum-vibe from these posts.

Back off AV, Wraith is Town because of rewq. Don't read into him too much, seriously. Do what I do, consciously ignore him. When I started paying attention to Wraith, we made the mistake of lynching him. We read into him too much, and subsequently smeared our clean sweep on the recently finished LOTR Mafia.

To start with, I was the primary advocate of Fate yesterday and pushed very very hard for a Benmage lynch, and came close. Benmage is know to be someone who keeps personal grudges for in-game actions.

Also: I searched and have a rez kit, and I strongly believe I am Benmage's target.

b) What can I say? One less kill of a townie is one less kill. I believe I explained this thoroughly in an earlier post.

c)I would have advocated it if I had a rez kit, because I would have rezz'd Fate for sure. I couldn't trust anyone else to do it, and I didn't have a rez kit, so I wanted to stop the kill entirely. I've explained this. As for Ben revealing tonight's target: if it wasn't me, I wouldn't support it, but I wouldn't want him lynched as fanatically.

d)I believe I said in a later post that was me just being butthurt.

e) That was because I was passed a fetish. However, I later learned that you can't be ritual'd the next night after being passed.

f) Throughout this day, I have always advocated Ben claiming his target. AFAIK I have never said the opposite all day. Another misrep.

g) Meaning, it's possible, but it requires so much WIFOM regarding his play that it's impractical.

SAII was bad only because Plum claimed to resuscitate, not to be the resuscitat-ee. Phate (I think it was Phate anyway) was basically confirmed town after he was saved. Really, it's the claimed rezzers that we have to watch closest.

Yeah, lurking is going on, I apologize. Even though this game has slowed down, I still haven't been able to go back and catch up on the 40 pages of D1 that I missed, although I'm hoping to read through it this weekend. It's especially frustrating when I'm missing some crucial information, for instance, the bulk of the MoI case information.

Still, I have read over the kunk and MoI cases, and they both look valid. Kunk really has been concentrating more on theory than anything else, and even if that is his favorite part of the setup, as he claims, it shouldn't be focused on to the exclusion of scumhunting. Early targetting of Furc looked opportunistic as well. And his response posts have a real "everybody calm down" quality to them, which I've seen out of him as scum before. In my experience, kunkscum likes to be the voice of reason and moderation, and that's really what I'm getting out of him this game.

Before I address MoI, I'm going to tell everyone a story. In my day to day life, and maybe even moreso when playing mafia, I totally psych myself out when interacting with people who have "reputations". If someone is notable or whatever, I end up paying more attention to them and valuing their thoughts and opinions more than others. It's a huge weakness of mine, but it happens nonetheless. So, in a game of mafia, this really hurts me when I interact with players who have reputations. It's impossible for me to trust them, simply because I've bought into the hype and am always expecting them to pull a fast one on me. But, on the other hand, I feel guilty every time I even consider voting them, because it means I'm voting one of the "best" players out of the game, and for no reason other than I suspect they're scum. It's a real double-edged sword, and it makes me second-guess my reads on good players at least twice as much as on other players.

This unfortunately is applying to the MoI case right now. I respect him as a really good player, so I'm instantly more suspicious of him than I am of others. To complicate the situation, players like Oj, VP Baltar, and sotty have all said that he's scummy. But, I still feel guilty when I think about voting him because I don't want him to die if I'm wrong. I do see his scumminess, but I'm just less comfortable voting him than I am other players.

2. So, at the time you were voting him, you thought he was going murderer?

1) It wasn't till Hito finally explained how the mod response was formulated to handle the exception that it made sense why Furcolow was confirmed.
2) His botch of a claim made it so it looked like he was lying, so either Cult or Murderer-in-training. The second was more likely because with daytalk it would be less likely for them to botch that claim.

If you don't think Furc is of any use to the town, why didn't you just stalk him and vig him out? Confirming your status as an investigator in the process.
If you don't scum hunt well before flips are revealed, why not keep a bit quieter and wait for them?
If you wanted to dribble scum to avoid being a NK, why do so in such an abrasive fashion? Especially in a game with so much potential for "doctor" saves for those who manage to get obv/confirmed town status.

This is a horrible post from Baby Spice, kind of suprised now that he isn't getting the same attention as yesterday. It reeks of scum trying to look like they are pushing on one of the main suspects without really doing so.

Of course I can grace LegoVas with my presence. I'm catching up; I'm in the eighties, so.

I'm not going to fully answer 1 and 2 until I finish the catch-up, but:

3. Because you were avoiding me, and you were not playing like your town self. It looked like Popularity Mafia over any other game I've seen you as town, so I was suspicious of you. But you did what you do best as town and- unless I'm horribly mistake, you're Investigator. (Unless you're going Murderer. *shudders*)

Fate needs to go too; if we have a COA to make sure all the graves are robbed then I have no problems Dispatching Fate. But if we can't handle 4 grave robbers and/or no one is willing then we'll have to delay Dispatching Fate until tomorrow.
