I just finished a marathon 80-minute game. Jungled Nunu, my friend went AP Sion. Ended up going something like 19-18-14 or something. Had to deal with one guy on the other team spamming all chat saying that backdooring was bannable.

Been 30 for... a while. Bought Taric something like 10 games ago and haven't played anything since except in ARAM custom games. Also haven't lost in a while.

He's pretty strong right now. Using his ult on creep waves to solo towers got a lot more fun this patch .

Ah yes. I've actually considered trying to build him as an AP/AD hybrid instead of a tank/support - I figure that the AP should give him 500~ self-heals, and with some AD as well as his ult, he'd end up being a very hard to kill tower-nuker. I might try that out in a custom game, actually...

His AP ratios aren't good enough to build AP and his base attack speed isn't good enough for him to be built AD, but maybe he could be hybrid. Since the hybrid items are super gold efficient it could overpower his weak scaling for AP or AD. Seems like an interesting idea. Would you build Nashor's Tooth or Guinsoo's Rageblade first? Guinsoo's has more raw gold efficiency, but Nashor's has CDR which Taric really likes, and more attackspeed which makes Imbue cool down faster. Seems like it goes to Nashor's.
Hextech Gunblade seems like it'd be a bad idea since Taric already has good base damage off his ult, and the spell vamp and lifesteal would get wasted a lot of the time when imbue is keeping him at full health.

Today I laned Zilean alongside Vlad. Felt kinda dirty.
Also won with Trundle in a team of Mundo, Xin, Jarvan, Yi. This game can be hilarious.

I'm thinking start with Nashor's simply because it builds out of Fiendish Codex, which is quickest to go to since I usually start Taric as Meki + 1 health pot + 1 mana pot. Then boots 2, then finish this build: situationally - although I'd suggest swapping out the Frozen Heart for Banshee's Veil against a more AP-heavy team. For those too lazy to click through: this gives him maxed-out CDR, 100 AP, 184 AD pre-ult, 1.8k mana and 25 MP/5, whilst maintaining decent survivability and the Aegis and Frozen Heart auras so you can teamfight respectably still if needed.

Loving Maokai, might have to save up for him

My issue with Maokai is in the endgame he isn't enough of a threat, once people start getting enough MR/HP that his saproling toss stops being effective I find him really hard to use.

Maokai fits in with people like Panth in that if the game is going to end at 20/25 minutes he's a beast, but as soon as you head towards the 35 minute mark, you might as well just not bother.
His snare is kinda useful though.

His ult is near useless in the few games I've played him in, but maybe I just didn't get the hang of him. I had the same issue with Trundle.

His ult is only really good in team fights if you can dictate where its gonna happen. Its beastly if they throw a few attacks at two or three allied champs in the circle.

Endgame he's more useful in support, locking people down for someone else to kill. Midgame he's a monster all by himself with the sapling grenades.

The number of times I've seen Maokai ult, and then everyone but myself and Maokai run out of the ult to get their shit slapped... ugh.
And the best part is when they then bitch out Maokai: "ur ult is fukin usless just like u, uninstall noob".

I hate playing with people like that, especially when I'm the only tank and get abandoned when I try to initiate a fight. Then I get bitched at after for "feeding". I also hate that one of my friends that I play with most of the time can be a that guy sometimes, especially when our teammates aren't being really aggressive.



Also, I just played a game with Caitlyn. Didn't realize she got buffed, so I was playing my normal aggressive "Gotta keep up with the farming" mentality. Ended up going 11-8-12 or something like that. She has great harass.
