I didn't realize you were expecting a response. If you want one, here you go:

If you think someone is town, you defend them, chainsaw or otherwise. It is SP who said a chainsaw is indicative of scum, and SP has chainsawed.

This comment shows a misunderstanding of what a chainsaw defense is. If a town thinks someone else is town, they might defend that player by addressing the accusations against him; they would not defend him by attacking his accuser (unless they think the accuser is scum, in which case the attack on the accuser is motivated by a scum-read and not by a defense of the town-read player).

The concept of the chainsaw defense is that a scum attacks another player because that player is accusing the scum's partner of scumminess. So the person making the chainsaw defense does not "think someone is town" as you say; he

knows

the alignment of the person being defended, and he knows that alignment is scum.

Until someone flips scum, we don't know if any one player's accusation on anyone else represents a chainsaw defense; so I am curious as to how you seem to know before any flips that what SP is doing is a chainsaw defense.

Yes, if she is breaking site rules then certainly an admin would want to get involved. This is something that an admin would have to do (not a mod, as jil suggested). And I think the correct procedure would be for a mod to discreetly notify an admin in a way that is invisible to us players and allows us to continue the game under the assumption that jil is not cheating.

But this is not what you suggested. You said "Can't we ask an admin to do an IP check or something? Because if jily is new or not is very important." What you seem to be suggesting is that we players take it into our own hands to investigate this by contacting an admin and requesting an IP check so that we can confirm jil is scum. This is out of bounds.

You don't offer much of a new argument on jil, but I think you are on the right track in terms of her being a suspect -- but checking her IP address is absolutely not a scumhunting technique. Your case on me is not a "stronger argument," it is an appeal to possibility in that you discern a tenuous link between the two players against whom you have presented weak cases and me.

Excuse the double post, but what I've found from the wiki is that generally the one power is soaked up and lost however it comes down to the mods decision when designing the game. This means if there's a roleblocker in the game her block is inevitable and uncontrollable however if there is no roleblocker in the game we need to properly make use of this one-shot.

I have minimal experience with vigs especially limited-shot vigs though from browsing past games I believe considering the idea of a vig-vote where Jillyn shoots one of the people most voted for is a good idea. It means that her shot can't go stray and will essentially clear her if she's town.

Why are you just trying to find "one" read? How about explaining reads, plural, on all the other players in the game. You know, the way town-sided players do to try and figure out who they can trust and eliminate suspects.

Prove my fos wrong if you are town, a legitimate defense would not be "irrelevant" to us. Basically what I want to know is "Why are you not being an active townie THIS game?" I don't care about previous games necessarily. They only serve to prove you are capable of better play as town. The fact you aren't helping out and you are able to is scummy. I'm willing to listen but you need to provide something worthwhile here.
