No, i am not. If my vote on Yami were a policy vote i would not be pointing out scum tells in her actions. I would have simply voted her and ended the discussion there.

But you just got done acknowledging that it's expected behavior. Policy lynch by the very definition of the term.

A policy lynch is typically either a lynch because a player's bad play is considered actively detrimental to the town, or a lynch on a player for reasons unrelated to the player's scumminess. My noting a pattern in YamiChan's actions and then expecting that pattern to continue is indeed unrelated to her scumminess, but that's not why i'm voting her. I'm voting her because she is not reacting as a townie should react.

Did i expect her to act like this? Broadly. Does that give her a free pass to act in a scummy fashion? No. If being expected to act scummy allowed one to discard scumtells, every player on the site would simply act as scummily as possible in every game. I do not have any meta on Yami from prior games, so i cannot say if she would act differently as town or scum, therefore i must fall back onto generalised scumtells, and general scumtells currently point to her being scum.

As for Mafia-hunting. this game is not designed for it. We don't have roles beyond basic Townie or Mafia, and we also don't have the ability to privately communicate. What little we do know, we are forced to withhold. You can't come out and say you have info or a certain power. That would get you killed.

CSL is catching my eye. As Hohum said CSL knew how Yami would react when attacked and her defense only increased CSL's determination to lynch Yami. He then eased up a bit with a vote on Rikana after this post of Deathnote:

But... She is also a flustered newb who is in over her head. I remember my first game was similar just with less posts by me and more self voting. It is for this reason that I can not vote Yami just yet, I am thinking that she is more then likely town.

I am leaning towards voting Rikana or Nurex though...

He got off the wagon when DN first used the newbie card and switched to Rikana when he could get off the wagon with a seemingly reasoned vote. But as soon as Yami gets another vote he's back on her.

Then again I do find Yami's responses scummy as well so the above can be discarded if yami turns up scum, but I'm not feeling it right now. It was stupid to start your first game in a game like this and I don't think she's bring up the bullying as a defense of acting scummy.

I am perfectly capable playing this as my first game. I was never honestly accused of being Mafia. I said I didn't think I would ever be able to adjust to the length of phases here. Simple, innocent comment. Next thing I know, people are insulting me and demanding I replace out. But no one ever accused me of being Mafia. Then, when I asked some people to please unvote before they vote for someone else-because that is considerate and less confusing for everyone,-they again jumped all over me. Suddenly, in the middle of that, Neruz and CSL jumped in and started saying how I was caving under the pressure of being suspected as a Mafia member and was not providing a good defense. But the reality is that I was never accused of being Mafia. That's why I say that they are either the real Mafia or playing badly, as they are twisting things around just to get people to vote for me. And how eagerly certain others are falling for this obvious trick makes them suspicious as well.

I had to lock five different threads of mine because people kept bullying me. Even the mods who the situations were reported to looked at all the threads and agreed I was being bullied. They scolded the involved parties-both publically and privately-and told them to stop. They didn't, and eventually, I had to lock the threads. This thread was going just fine until some people chose to take the first chance to attack me, over innocent statements or requests. I don't see on commenting on how hard it was getting used to longer phases or asking politely for people to unvote before voting again makes me Mafia. And even if you think someone is Mafia, the way certain people have been acting is too much. Neruz and CSL's plan is really rather transparent.

You're missing the relevance of her now being in a game and, if she's scum, there being a legitimate reason to attack her (that she is scum).
