If someone is silenced, can that person say the silenced words through other means? I only ask because this skill is begging to be worked around. The more you restrict it, the more kinda ridiculous it becomes. There are a handfull of ways to work around it, not just the binary method I suggested. So whats the verdict?[/b]

Since cryptography is banned, I feel that using special substitutions like binary to say the word is treading on those rules as well as the restriction of the Silence skill. To play to the spirit of the game, I would expect the player to avoid saying the word using codes like Binary too.

Also responding to one of my own posts here - I derped and forgot that people picked roles before alignments got sent out. I just assumed everyone would go for the strongest possible townie roles because you had a higher chance of being town over scum and should have picked according to that.

I didn't get the #1 preference I wanted. DAMN YOU WHOEVER GOT RED WIZARD.

It looks like it. Sounds either like someone who doesn't have a clue what is going on, or scum who made up a story how he wanted to take the red wizard, which seems a town role.

Junpei's reaction to this accusation by Fate is really passive. He's conciously slowing Fate down with questions, while doing little himself. After that he moves to "Fate only makes those lists as scum", while he really wasn't as convinced in this post:

Honestly, there is so much rage going on that I'm a little confused, but I won't state confusion as a read, so I will tell you that I find Fate scummy. Fate is doing completely irrational things such as demanding full claims, being very prone to latching onto something and claiming it to be more true than it is. He also likes to hide behind the meta-mask when discussing himself.

In fact, since I haven't voted yet, and on reflection Fate seems deserving:

This seems to me like Junpei is making up the case against Fate along the way. He's tunneling, but not on a strong early case. With his first vote, he's rather cautious ("fate seems deserving"), and it's rather odd to start tunneling from there.

For people expecting others to conform to their playstyle expectations, you guys are going to have to pick in the future. You'll have 3 choices. You can 1.) Put up with it, 2.) Stick to whatever section/threads you normally played in, or 3.) Only join games with a playerlist you like. Obviously 3 is the best choice. You learn who you like from experience. I'm not sure how you guys have never played with Fate or seen any of his games, though. He's only the 2nd highest poster onsite.
