Ezreal is one of the funnest champions in the league. He's near 100% skill based.

Ez is too fun. I played him today with everyone and carried.

I quit taking flash on him personally. Currently using exhaust and ignite, but I mean with his super low cd flash, it feels like a wasted summoner since it's almost always up. I might start taking like ghost or tele or something over ignite. Exhaust is still incredibly useful.

He also has some funny tricks, like when a rammus powerballs, flash away as soon as you get hit, and rammus should never really ever catch you. I 2v1'd very successfully as him against a rammus and a nasus. He's probably not a bad solo top against any bruisers if played correctly. He's got so much mobility and as long as you
1.Don't push out to far
and
2.Save your flash for the gap closer when they jump you
You're kind of a better kiter than ashe with the harass of a burst caster and the sustained damage of an ad carry. He's also really hard to gank unless you're willing to tower dive to secure the kill.

Wat, you throw out mystic shots which is not only guaranteed damage, it's a fun poke that feels satisfying and does alot of damage early game when you hit it.
You're always flashing around and then when you get ult kills from across the map it's too awesome. It makes you want to get up running around in circles while pulling your shirt up going OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

we had a game like this with socio; he just ran around as their whole team chased him and pressed his (bound) laugh key constantly. We were able to push while they were distracted. :B

Question on Singed: what's the best build?

I went Sapphire Crystal -> Boots -> Catalyst -> RoA -> Merc's Treads, then I don't remember in what order, but I built Rylai's, Banshee's, and Mejai's. I was planning on finishing out with a Deathcap if I had enough time.

Everything up to mercs is :goodshit: but never ever ever ever ever ever get mejai's on singed. Just don't. You are not an AP carry, do not stack ap. You're a tank, get tank shit.

Good items: sf cape, force of nature, rylai's, (situational items are as follows) raduin's omen / frozen heart / banshee's

Rylai's is more "I'm tanky as fuck, I want to have some super baller ice poison and have my flings be final." - don't get it before you're tanky.

Edit: Also never ever ever ever ever get a tear of the goddess. It looks good but it's shit. And if they don't have any cc but a lot of ad, you can consider getting ninja tabi instead of mercs.

Thornmail is very specifically "they're auto attackers and I need a lot of armor" - it shouldn't be core. More core items would be sf cape / fon / rylai's with situational additions or swap outs with rylai's to randuin's / frozen heart / banshee's if you're not tanky enough.

The situational items counter a specific thing: banshee's blocks the magic damage combo people (lb, for example), randuin's is a really good way to shut down ad dps teams (same as frozen heart, though people have differing presences on which one to get). Thornmail is very specifically I am being auto attacked, so it'd be good if you're being auto attacked but it is not the best value for armor otherwise.

You can also consider finishing mercs before finishing your RoA.

On singed I personally go: Sapphire -> boots -> catalyst -> mercs if they're running fast / RoA if I'm good on speed -> whichever I didn't get -> sf cape if they're more ad / fon if they're more ap -> get the other one -> rylai's (I've yet to actually get to rylai's before my games end because phweeee).

Also, my choice of summoner spells for singed are teleport / ghost. You can also do ghost/exhaust or flash/ghost, but

always have ghost

. It's #1 singed summoner. I do tp because I'm often (solo) top lane + I take much joy from tp'ing in behind the enemy team from split pushing (via wardz, obv) and initiating that way. The bonus of exhaust is ruinin dps / keeping people still after fling / etc. Flash provides for fun with flash fling combos. So take for whichever you prefer.

Singed does do plenty of damage, but remember that your job is to force people out of position and split push. You can push lanes like a bauws, and you need the cs anyway, so go crazy on them minions.

Edit: Oh yeah, and singed can do insane tower dives with his team. I've literally taken fifteen tower hits while my team killed a half health rammus + katarina. And lived.

consider I'm only level 22 so I only have 22 points to spend right now

PREDIT: I grab Ghost/Ignite, ghost is awesome for chasing and ignite is awesome for early game before I get my lvl2 boots or if someone is running back to their tower. ignite + poison DoT is awesome

The reason you don't take ignite is the fact your job is

not

to be the killer. Your job is to make it easier on your killers to kill. + split push

With singed, I'd personally go 0/21/9. Always always always get strength of spirit. You'll be getting crazy amounts of mana naturally, so it provides enormous benefits. Take perseverance over good hands on singed.

His poison does nice deeeeeps, sure. He deals damage, he's a beautiful creature. All the more reason you

don't

need ignite. Ignite is "this bitch got away with 10 health from my super awesome burst combo, THIS SHALL FINISH IT" - singed doesn't have a super awesome burst combo. He has super baller poison farts that make it deadly to chase him. He's not a defensive guy after he get his catalyst, but keep in mind that you're still a tank.

Tanks don't get kills, they get assists.

Singed is a bit more unique on the tank ladder, but his main job is... 1) split push farm like a bauws, 2) get chased like a bauws, 3) fling shit like a bauws. Note the lack of "kill all their things like a bauws"

I've been experimenting lately on singed with:
Boots -> Catalyst -> RoA/L3 boots -> the other one -> tenacity item

I'm still not sure whether I prefer Mercs or L3 boots, because Singed running around is really entertaining.

And I usually grab ghost/flash for EVEN MORE ESCAPE

I do this. I try not to make it really loud when I'm on Skype, but I think it still comes through.

I run Ghost/Exhaust on him, Exhaust is a nice thing to have, and having the chance to Exhaust a carry after you fling them in to your team is nice.

I also run 9/0/21, so you can fuck a carry over. I've been consdiering running like 9/9/12 or something though.

Mostly what Ray said.
RoA and upgraded boots is core. After that is largely dependant on the other team.
I default to Mercs unless they don't have much CC and/or don't seem inclined to use it on me. Swiftness boots is lulzy if you get it, though.
The Randuin's Omen active or Frozen Heart passive is frequently better than the Sunfire Cape damage, in my opinion. I'd get either before that.
You can definitely get at least the giant's belt of Rylai's directly after RoA. You need good amounts of HP for resists to be good; I wouldn't mind RoA into Rylai's, but resists first is probably better since it's expensive and you need to not die in the meantime. Rylai's is pretty much always good if/when you can get it, though.
Ignite on Singed is wrong. Nope.
You can play Singed as a straight tank, or a more Tanky AP build can kinda work but it's unusual. I'm not convinced you get much out of the AP; poison has a 0.3 ratio and you've got basically fling (1.0) beyond that. It is fun, though. This depends a lot on whether the enemy team like to focus/chase you down; this is entirely the wrong thing to do with tank singed, but the reason that's so popular is that people are dumb and do it regardless. Squishy Singed just won't work there for obvious reasons.
Mejais is really down to whether you like snowball items or not. I generally don't, albeit Mejai's/Leviathan Singed sounds hilarious if you do get good stacks.
Always did 9/21/0. Can't pass up the 15% spell penetration mastery. I guess you might want some stuff from the Utility Tree, but I've never tried it.
