Looking at the new materies I think this alone will fix some of the awkward balance problems.

I doubt they're getting rid of dodge, I think they're just 1. Decreasing the amount of times it happens with certain champs (read: Jax) 2. Getting rid of the advantage with nimbleness that you get for getting dodge procs. I think the fact that minion damage could proc nimbleness was not how they originally invisioned that mastery in working but meh. I don't see this as being a bad thing. It'll take the edge off of some of the more troublesome champions (read: Jax).

I think this may or may not inadvertently help balance some of the hybrid champions like akali and help reduce some of their numbers by forcing them to either pick one tree or divide into the trees in order to gain the benefit from the lifesteal/spellvamp. I have absolutely no basis for this thought, that's just how it looks to me. I obviously don't know.
I personally like the new masteries. They fit the current meta better and eliminates a lot of the problems I saw with feeling like you have to devote to one mastery tree in order to keep up (9/0/21 on basically every caster)

So I'm solo top vs an Anivia/Warwick combo which was fairly scary at first

then I won my lane

then I raped, despite our Annie feeding their Akali 4 times during laning phase (plus the 2 kills she got on our jungler)

and we ended the game by me leading a charge down mid and just tanking both remaining turrets plus minions at their inhib for the quick surrender

it was beautiful

Dunno about the tournament, and I don't think Valve has a way of tracking DotA 1 players. They have a matching system so they get a good breakdown of veteran players and newbies.

You register for Beta, they track you down through your IP, they match it with how you played before, and there you go, waiting for a beta key to come at you.

It doesn't help him that much, since he never should be auto attacking in the first place.

I would never want to play with your ezreal

If you're playing Ezreal correctly, you should never be auto attacking more than one at a time, making the attack speed useless.

yeah, generally I open Catalyst -> Boots -> RoA -> Lvl2 Boots -> situational from there (if I'm not getting hit hard it's Rylai's, if I'm taking AD it's Sunfire Cape, if I'm getting owned by AP it's FoN)

Kog had already beasted our last towers and our nexus tower, but I managed to get the tower down with Trist's help (ignored the minions, was desperate)

It seems the Lee sin wasn't doing good, but gladly me and my friend were duo quo'ing and ulted at the last minute to get a lee sin kill. THen I went in with him behind me, ulted kog and kat while fiddle drained the nexus for the win.

I'm so satisfied. MMM. This deserves a dinner.

Oh my god it is so horrifying trying to adjust to DotA 2's interface.

Especially items.
Everything else is beautiful and pretty and I can adjust to the differences, but my god, they managed to go backwards when it comes to items and shops and inventory management. It's worse than it was in WC3 and doesn't have any of the improvements that exist in HoN.
Basically the only good thing about it is the way it handles auto completing recipes using stash items.

God I hate these people.

I find it surprising the amount of negative comments I've heard about Dota 2. It sounded like it'd absolutely obliterate HoN, but there are so many people out and saying that they hate Dota 2 and will keep playing HoN.

It's interesting. I get that it's early beta, but interesting nonetheless. I mean it's not people complaining about balance, but about the little things that the other big giants(HoN/LoL) have fixed or solved in some way.
