The 100 Boxes Reboot... Again (Game over!)

Well, SantaCoug came to town, and it turns out he SHOULD have kept a nice list and a naughty list. After a group of hecklers caused him trouble and he got fed up with it, he decided that nobody he was with should be getting any gifts.

...OK, so just a few people caused a problem, and the people he knows didn't drive him to lash out are being welcomed back with open arms. The 100 numbered boxes—there are still no names of recipients on the boxes and each person still gets to pick four—are here for those on StrangerCoug's nice list (and yes, he knows both innocent and guilty people are on there—the lists are based on how he's been treated). But are his gifts fitting for someone who's been nice? Or would the people for whom he got the presents wish he never got them presents at all?

RULES

This is a fully open setup, which means that you know exactly what roles and how many of them exist in advance; however, you don't necessarily know what has been sent to whom.
For this game, you know there to be four Sicilian Mafia goons, four Corsican Mafia goons, one serial killer, and sixteen vanilla townies. All possible role PM's read the following:

For the Sicilian Mafia role PM, StrangerCoug wrote:____________, you are a
Sicilian Mafia goon
. You, along with your partners in crime ____________, ____________, and ____________, hope to have the contents of all your boxes go your way. They may be luck of the draw, but your diabolical means sure aren't!

Each night, you may discuss with your partners whom you would like to kill and which one of you will PM me with the hit. You are not allowed to kill yourself or your partners. If you decide not to kill anybody, it'd be nice if I know. You will repeat this process until the end of the game or you die, whichever happens first.

Additionally, you may open as many boxes per night as you have available. Effects and instructions will be PM'd to you when you open each box in the order that you open them. Be careful—opening a box is roleblock-immune, but not all of the boxes have a positive effect!

I have made a QuickTopic where you may discuss your night action here. Discussing in the QuickTopic before the game starts is fine, but once I announce the start of the game you will only be allowed to post there at night.

You win when all players in the gift exchange are the Sicilian Mafia or nothing can prevent the same.

For right now, though, you have no gun, no badge, no first aid kit, no magic thingamajiggers, absolutely nothing special except for six things—your four boxes, your brain, and voting abilities. But those six things are all you need to keep the gift exchange running as smoothly as possible!

You win when all threats to the gift exchange have been eliminated from the game.

You do not, however, know any information about the boxes except what is stated in the role PMs above. So, in effect, this is a lot like a semi-open
The preferred voting method is to put vote tags around the player's name, but I will still accept the old method of bolding the word "vote" followed by said player's name, e.g. VOTE: StrangerCoug or

. As long as I can tell to whom you are referring, spelling does not count and I will accept abbreviated or otherwise shortened forms of the name of the vote's recipient. You may also VOTE: No Lynch. I no longer require unvotes.
A majority of votes is required for a lynch, even at deadline. Once a lynch has been decided, it is final and further votes and unvotes do not count for the current day. If deadline is reached with no player having enough votes for a lynch, the day ends in an automatic No Lynch.
Once you die, I'll allow one "bah" post that doesn't contain any game-related content if you wish to make it, but you must thereafter stop posting in the game. Said "bah" post is the only post a dead player may make during twilight. Living players may continue to talk during twilight as long as they follow all of the rules.
You are not forced to like each other, but the fact that you badly want so and so offed does not give you the right to insult him or her. Please keep your hatred of people or groups thereof to yourself. Profanity is not in and of itself banned, but if it gets out of hand, it falls under this rule.
Do not hide text or otherwise hinder its readability by using spoiler tags, invisible or encrypted text, etc. You may, however, post in any color that can be easily read against the forum background other than

. (I know it sounds arbitrary to forbid a specific color, but I'm saving my favorite color for mod use since I am the mod )

I will issue a prod to any player that does not post for 72 hours without notifying me of his or her absence. (I'm sorry, but I do not check the V/LA thread. If you do not tell me to do so, neither will I check your signature.) If you are prodded, you will have 48 hours from the time of submission to post in thread. Failure to do so may result in replacement. Keep in mind that I have the board time down to the second. I will only prod the same player twice—after that, he or she must post every 72 hours to ensure that he or she remains in the game.
The fastest and preferred way to get ahold of me is by PM'ing me, but you may also communicate to me in thread if it is day or twilight and you are still alive. To do so, bold "Mod:" followed by what you want to tell me, as in

Please use your judgment call in whether or not what you want to tell me should be public knowledge before talking to me in the thread. In additon, I will not entertain questions regarding possible night actions, nor will I answer questions about a person's role unless you happen to be the person in question and you ask me privately.
Pretending to break the rules and/or encouraging people to break the rules are themselves breaking the rules. Please don't violate the integrity of the game.
Rule violations will be dealt with case by case based on severity. This can be a warning (of which I will only give two per player), ejection from the game, or even a modkill. Modkills are not a fun experience for anybody—the players affected automatically lose, I do it in the manner that I consider most harmful to their factions, and I die on the inside every time I have to do it.

All rules are subject to change. In my previously modded games, things have come up that I didn't think about, and both my own and other's actions in those games have helped shape and modify these rules. It may happen again here.

Huh? This game started?? I completely forgot.

The case on me was that I hadn't caught up on a 90 page game iirc. This week = the week that I do all that work I should have been doing the past month but haven't been, so as luck would have it, I won't be fully caught up for a while still. Also next week is Spring Break and I will be NO ACCESS this weekend, and spring break is day-to-day as I'm not planned to be on a big vacation, but things happen as they happen.

If I recall correctly, Snake was most certainly scum and should be lynched

but I haven't really read the posts from the old game yet (they've been downloaded though) and the fact that I'm not already voting Snake makes me wonder if there was something I forgot.

Yes well that's because I keep finding things I want to do and adding them to my schedule and found that I have added too many things, but refused to change anything out of habit. Those things still exist, but I am not going to use them as an excuse.

I just noticed that there are ISOs available

Unfortunately, it looks like some of my more recent posts have disappeared and I kind of forget my thoughts, but:

I thought that Sykedoc could be scum, but I kept getting unsure about it. Also, did you say somewhere that you had a usable trinket?

I had a null, but very slightly scum read on Junpei and will most likely be happy voting him today (mostly because I think he's corsican if scum) and is less likely to be town than sykedoc I've decided.

I am questioning all the townreads I had as well.

Hopefully I'll be able to read properly soon.

After a break in communications—some say a good brainwashing, too—you finally get some coherent consensus in who's scum in this... rather late Christmas party. It's almost April now, for crying out loud!

No one cares when it is, though, as long as it's a day when Mafia gets lynched. Which, unfortunately, isn't today. You could have solemnly sworn you found everything again, but there's no sign of Junpei's wreaking havoc on anybody. Just a couple dollars in change.
