I'm going through the thread at the moment, and I won't be able to finish it today.

At first read, two things that stand out most to me are rack wagon, and drmyshotgun play so far.

Honestly, I cringed at almost every drmyshotgun post I have read so far.

So, GreyICE, you have meta on Firestarter, you say? He acted similarly as town (or differently as scum)?

Updated Reads

Town: vijay2whatthehellisthisusername, Nero, Benmage, Lady, HezLucky, scooby, red, mastin, psyche, shotty 2, NihilisticNinja, The Mini-Librarian, Macros
Scum: firestarter, jason, drmyshottyizsik, rack, Junpei (recent interaction with ML was icky)
Null: Maxous, GreyICE, pine, DeasVail, khan

Ehhh, I can be
clever
. But I'm really not as good as you give me credit for. NY142 was an exceptional game for me, and I made some serious errors in that. I'm also pretty lazy when I'm not invested in a game, and this game just irritates me.

There is a difference between good and clever. Personally I think you are a fairly good player, however my comment about you being "not dumb" is not related to that at all. It refers to your actual intellectual ability, mindful that my judgement is based on cohesive sentence structure, diction, thought coherence, etc. So being a "good" player has nothing to do with being smart or dumb in the context that I meant it.

Junpei wrote:Uh I am not close to being caught up at all.

HezLucky, you should meta me or something because I'm conscious about my meta (yeah, meta-thoughts in regards to meta-meta); I don't blame you for the scumread on me though, and I don't expect you to meta me but I felt I should respond to what you wrote since I just read your post.

Scummy self-meta defense is scummy.

Junpei wrote:
The Mini-Librarian wrote:Hey Jun, how close are we from getting some reads from you?

I like the sound of your voice; I'll do an ISO of you and post a read later.

I see you have a small ISO though, so I will have to do other people as well I suppose. But you can put down a scum read on redFF now, for whatever it's worth.

vote redFF
as my strongest scum read so far.

Your strongest scumread is somebody who buddied DV by saying he made a good post? Yeah no, not.cutting it.

mastin2 wrote:I'll be honest with you all--in this game, I feel a little bit out of my league. I'm having difficulty getting reads, but not because of apathy (that'd imply I didn't care; I do, just have difficulty locking down reads, as they waver from town to scum and back). A lot of players here are of a different caliber than I am, be it better (like GreyICE) or worse (VIs), making it harder to relate. I'm not in my element, compared to other games where I do nicely.

It almost made me want to replace out--almost. The reason I haven't is that I realized that's exactly why I wanted to keep playing in this game in the first place: because if I'm never pushed outside my comfort zone, if I'm always in my element, then I'd stagnate and never grow. Only by being in a place where I'm WEAKER than most people would I stand a chance of actually getting better. By being in a place where I feel uncomfortable, weaker, and overall kinda useless, I can try to push myself.

I'm going to try and reset everyone to null, and see what happens when I take a look at the game again.

This is a fairly long post which says.. nothing.. I don't have a provlem with it, but to all you people complaining about the number of pages, talk to this guy. (i know, I know it's a bit hypocrital)

Pine is still very likely scum. Junpei may just be it as well.

V2V, it meta-self-meta-defense; there's a difference.

Also I think redFF is scum for more than that; his diction and purpose on that page seems not town motivated.

I think Junpei is town, but I'm not liking the theories that have been around about scum going for easy targets and not harder ones. Honestly, as scum, I'd feel uncomfortable going for easy targets. Maybe it's just me though...

Why are you more concerned with anti's scum read on you than G1's?
Of all tyrannies,a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Okay, didn't have time for a full re-read because my son was sick today, so I'll give what I've got.

1. Psyche
- Felt the need to complain repeatedly.
- Frustrating & confusing writing style
- Not sure why he jumped off the rack wagon
- Pretty strongly scum

3. scooby
- Reallllllllllllly lurking.
- Not helping town out any.

4. FakeGod/jasonT1981
- jasonT1981 came across pretty town.. Meta is that jasonT1981-scum wouldn't have much of a problem lurking.
- nothing on FakeGod.

5. Firestarter
- Not much content, but not shying away from controversy.
- Townish feeling

6. The Mini-Librarian
- Townie-looking.

7. rack
- Horrible meta attacks
- OMGUS votes me
- Have no idea why he's voting Macros
- Obv-scum.

8. DeasVail
- some drastic read-changes between 297 & 298 (Psyche, most noticably)
- Why no immediate vote after reads?
- Very greasy/sleazy feeling. Prob. scum

9. Macros
- Tunneling on a suspect that has a low lynch-chance.
- Signs of looking busy, nullish on him atm

10. NihilisticNinja
- "Quote/Premise/conclusion" opening thing read like eagertown
- Heavy LLD defense...
- Hey, where'd he go?
-
Mod: prod him?

11. Benmage
- Good ballsy town content

12. Pine
- super sub-standard early play (defending scooby, trying to tie rack & Lady Lambdadelta together..)
- vote hopping
- Pretty scummy feeling

13. drmyshottyizsik
- I R SERIOUS SHOTTY (early game)
- reads scummy, but that's not unexpected.
- ambivalous towards him atm

14. HezLucky
- Is the HEZWAVRE tunnel gimmick a meta thing? (Probably, so I'm not concerned)
- It's really bothering me that I'm disagreeing so much with his reads. Means either I'm way wrong or we're not on the same side.

15. drmyshotgun
- VI with a PR. Next.

16. Nero Cain
- NOISE NOISE NOISE
- "that wagon is building too fast to be town" bullshit
- I'm getting used to his style. He's not an idiot but is despretely trying to come off as one for reaction's sake. But I'm getting that it's probably more of a meta thing. I'm utterly baffled as to why he doesn't have any doubt at all that rack isn't scum.

17. redFF
- Not sure where he stands on a lot of stuff. Seems to just be sniping and playing his cards close to his chest.
- Also not sure why he's not the least bit interested in a rack-wagon..
- IGMEOH

Well, okay. If you want to put it in a way that's pretty insulting, sure.

The base conclusion is that he's more in my town column than my scum column right now. However he needs a better explanation as to why he's not on the rack-wagon.

Right so, Junpei needs to die soon aswell.

Here's a review of his posting this game.

His first 9 posts are literally content-less. Nothing exists in them besides mentioning how fast the game is moving and making little aside comments on things that aren't relevant to finding the scum.

Next, he starts to do SOMETHING when he makes a comment about RedFF's logic/saying he is buddying or something stupid like that. On the whole, the two posts it took to say these things were unnecessary and just bad.

Then he gets into a discussion with Librarian, with a vote for RedFF in the middle. You have legitimately said one thing about RedFF this entire game, and your vote on him didn't project any further insight. I am forced to assume you were making this vote with almost no reasoning.

Then the rest of your posts are blatant attempts at trying to justify your terrible posting and vote from before, combined with you asking a bunch of questions that really don't add anything to the hunt for who is scum.

All in all, your posting is terrible and you need to be dead soon.

But Rack is still scummier, and has still done NOTHING to make me think he's town.

An ISO of rack shows he still needs to be lynched.

Starting to catch up now, thankfully it's not as long as I thought it would be.

LLD: My contentless posts are from not being active at all; if you want to attack me for them so be it. I just decided that I should start by looking at the very recent activity and going from there, soothing into the game. RedFF's bad logic caught my eye, so I tried to cleverly show him his error, only he didn't understand my implicit critique. They were necessary because they dismantled DV's attack on the new replace in. It would have only taken one post but redFF didn't understand what I said.

I voted RedFF at the very beginning of the conversation with Librarian, in fact I did so before the conversation even really began. Go look at every post in this game, many of them are not carrying lots of reasoning if at all, and I soon after explained it. If you think I voted redFF and then came up with reasoning as to why after the fact, then you need to show why it is beneficial for scum to vote redFF THEN and not later, after reasoning is construed.

My questions to Librarian are useful because it helps me get a better of idea of his thought process and if it came from town or scum. My question earlier to Tammy is so that I can understand and talk to her better, because she posts long walls, I needed to know what would be the best way to synthesize responses to them if need be.

Hopefully that clears things up for you. If not, then oh well.
